I'm going to try Phil Beesley's suggestion to print a pattern 
onto a transparency and stick it onto a sheet of aluminium foil.

 OK, here's a picture I took with a camera. Didn't
 have a flatbed scanner handy. Its a bit hard to
 see since they tinted it blue but that is definately
 the same floppy slot as on the Beige G3 at work. :)
