Re: I AM A FUCKNUT!
Speaking of limits and such I have here a diskette that, should the lavel be correct, has stuff on it. HOWEVER, when I stick it in my IIci it says its unreadable by this Mac (its the only Mac I am using right now) and asks me to choose a format for it. How can I get it to let me see the disk? I have ~Access PC and PC Exchange already installed. Ideas? Block/Cluster size. Re: I AM A FUCKNUT!

Everything over 2gig (iirc - could be 0.5gig) has 4k. Presumably FAT32 has 2^32 clusters? http://www.macworld.com/1998/04/secrets/4241.html (They're wrong about floppies having 65,536 blocks.) http://til.info.apple.com/techinfo.nsf/artnum/n24372 http://www.healthtology.com/computerguys/FAQS/clustersize.htm Up to 4.92 billion blocks on an HFS+ formatted disk. Still don't know the maximum number for FAT32. Looks like when Apple decided to fix the limitations of HFS, they looked way into the future. = The earth swarms with inhabitants.
