Is there such a thing for the 6100?

Stepping Out, from Berkeley Systems (the After Dark folks), might work.

MaxAppleZoom, which is what you're probably referring to, only works (as
you may know) with a few Apple video cards and does NOT work with ANY
onboard video.

You might be able to physically adjust the monitor to remove this border,
but it's really not a good idea unless you're very comfortable working in
there and don't mind the risk that you could shorten the monitor's life by
putting higher-than-normal voltages on some of its components.

Nope. Max Apple Zoom or that other similar piece
of software only works with certain Apple NuBus
videocards. The only chance you'd have of making it
work would be to get a NuBus adaptor for the 6100
and use the videocard from the Mac II.

Can't seem to find Stepping Out anywhere.

They're long dead at this point. Do some googling and see if you can find
it anywhere. Might not be a bad idea to check with Gamba either, although
I don't think he has it at his site.

Had already checked Gamba, Version Tracker, Info-Mac and many others.

Found it, Stepping Out.

I seem to recall that Sum Remarketing bought out the Berkley stuff.
Found it with Google. Suns price is $19 (WOW).

Description: This ingenious little piece of software extends the
desktop of your Mac 512k, Plus, or SE to give you
a larger working space.

Sounds like a dead end.
