Inside the CRT is high voltage so great care and a screwdriver with an
insulated shank is the order of the day.  There are adjustments for focus,
colour guns, etc. My advice is to remove the cover and identify the position
of the adjusters and try moving them in turn until you get a picture.  Dust
and moisture are the enemies of electronics. Blow it out with compressed air
and dry it out with a hair dryer before you start.

Someone by my house tossed out a Mac SE/30 yesterday and I snagged it.
No keyboard or mouse...but the case is in perfect condition. The Mac
powers on and makes the boot sound but the CRT just has a single
vertical line running right down the middle of the screen. Any advice on
