vibration not working on silent

Hey guys,

OK, so i ahve a bit of an issue.  I'm running the latest IOS, and my 
iphone 7.  When i go to put the vibrate switch on the side of the phone, 
it did the same thing with my iphone 6.  when i get a call, i feel a 
little pulse, and voiceover tells me who's calling.  If i'm not paying 
attention i'll miss the call, as it doesn't do long vibrates to indicate 
a ring.  Any ideas what's going on?  Anyone else seen this?  It is set 
to vibrate, but it just does a quick pulse.  Any thoughts?

Thanks. This particular one I had trouble with a couple of days ago was a 
button, and, according to my sighted husband, occupied an extremely small part 
of the screen. In fact, he had to get a magnifier to see it! I'm sure a younger 
person could have seen it but he said he had a lot of trouble. When I finally 
actually located it on the screen, there was no wiggle room whatsoever, and 
when I double tapped on it, nothing happened, just as when I was attempting to 
do it with the keyboard.

Turab,

I'd suggest you open the KNFB Reader app and on the main screen bottomline menu 
in the center, locate document type and double tap. This will open a picker 
item where you select between multi-column or single column document. My KNFB 
Reader seems to default to multi-column document type which works great when 
scanning something like a newspaper but not so great when you want the scanned 
page to be read left to right line by line, top to bottom. I believe you'd want 
the single column document type to get this result.

Richard is right about considering a scanning stand but try changing the 
document type first to see if the results are ordered more as you expect.

If you want to scan a multi-page document, place focus on the button just above 
the bottom right most button of select profile. The button just above it is 
batch mode is off. For scanning more than one page, double tap it and it 
becomes process multi-page document. Then you can proceed to take pictures of 
each page.

It’s a very handy little app.  I’ve used it several times, generally because I 
wasn’t paying attention and took wrong turns and wasn’t quite sure where I was.

Outlook for Ios

I am impressed with Outlook for Ios just a quick question: 

Set up my Gmail account went through all the steps I added some contacts
within gmail.com and outlook onto the computer. Most of the contacts appear
on outlook for ios but not the ones I added? How do I make sure that new

I'm not sure why you'd use Dropvox as your iPhone recorder if you don't want it 
linked to Dropbox but I'm sure you have your reasons. My understanding is that 
recordings you make with Dropvox are not uploaded to Dropbox and are kept on 
your device until you have network access. If you're concerned about using 
data, you should be able to adjust your Dropvox and Dropbox settings not to use 
data so that only your WiFi connection is used. Also, Dropvox has a setting 
from within the app to um link it from Dropbox but to me, this sort of defeats 
its purpose.

that's weird. all lists that I have been on so far, the moderators have 
been connected to the owners address, so that if someone sends something

It sounds like you are not holding the phone high enough or level enough to get 
the entire page.
I'd suggest buying the FOPYDO Scanning Stand for the blind.
It will help with keeping the phone level and positioned at the correct height.
You can get it from Amazon, the Fopydo.com web site using pay pal; or through 
the NFB store.
It is $12 even through NFB, or add $3.00 shipping through Amazon and I think 
the Fopydo web site.
It is very light weight and easily folds up for portability.
If you read the user guide for KNFB Reader, you will learn how to save and add 
pages to a document.

Effective use of KNFB reader

Hello guys
Have been using the KNFB reader since a few months but have not been
able to make best use of it. In the sense that it does not read the
entire page in the correct order, often mixing up lines. Also would
like to learn how to scan and read multiple pages effectively.
Eagerly await constructive suggestions.
