Hello everybody,

I had to sign up with a new user name for Dice World, because I could
not ever get my password reminder from my other account.

Now I have no players, or people I used to play games with. I only play
Farkle.

But if you play Farkle, and would like to play with me, please search
for this email address.

Like I said, I only play Farkle. I'd like to find some friends to play
with, as I miss the game.

Thank you,

Terri

Audible and Sonos fans rejoyce

2018-03-20 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi,

For those who own Sonos speakers and who are also big Audible fans like me it
is time to smile.
I was both on the Sonos and most recent Audible beta so I had this for a bit,
but today the puglic Audible update showed up for me so anybody should be able
to get this now or will very shortly.
So, what am I talking about? Well, you can now select and play to any of your
Sonos speakers right from the Audible app. Just above or, for those who swipe,
one swipe left from the "Jump Back" button is now a "Connect to a device"
button.
If you activate this button you find a "Close" button at the top left, to the
right of that the heading "Connect to a device".
After that you find "This device" which of course refers to your iPhone.
Following this is a list of all your Sonos speakers and simply double tapping
on any of those will start playing your book on the selected Sonos speaker.
There is also an "Edit" button to the right of each of the speakers, if you tap
on any of those you will be asked if you want to open the Sonos app. This would
be if you want to do more advanced things like grouping two or more speakers
etc.
A few restrictions exist, however. If you tap on a Sonos speaker you will get a
message pop-up which tells you that features such as changing narration speed,
sleep timers and bookmarks are not available on Sonos. I think this might be
temporary.
Also, you may experience that Voiceover volume drops as soon as you select a
Sonos speaker. If so just push the volume up button a few times and it will
come back up, it doesn't seem to go to 0, but it becomes a lot quieter. I had
already reported this to Audible during the beta, hopefully if a few others do
the same now they'll fix this.
Of course you can also access your Audible library from the Sonos app directly.
First you have to of course add Audible and sign in just like with any other
music service, but once you do this Audible is an option just as Apple Music,
Spotify, Tune In or whatever other music services you are using on Sonos. I do,
however, prefer to play to Sonos via the Audible app instead of playing my
Audible book via the Sonos app. Of course if you play via the Sonos app you are
not using up your iPhone battery because once the book plays you could actually
turn off your iPhone and it would still continue to play.
Lastly for Amazon Echo owners you could of course connect an Echo Dot to your
Sonos system if you have a player with a line-in port and then simply tell
Alexa to play whatever book you want. I assume if you have a Sonos 1 smart
speaker that it by itself is capable of playing your Audible library. So many
options nowadays, but of course that is a good thing.

Best regards,
Sieghard

RE: How to remove pictures from my iPhone

2018-03-20 Thread M. Taylor
Hello,

What is your name?

Your question is a bit vague.

I don't know if you are asking how to remove multiple photos from your iPhone
or if you are unable to remove any photos from your iPhone.

Having stated this, let me tell you that once you synchronize photos from your
phone to your computer, then you must use the computer in order to delete the
photos from the phone.

Photo management varies greatly between the Mac OS and Windows. I will assume
you are using a Windows computer.

Scenario 1:
You snap a couple of photos on your iPhone. The photos are located in your
Camera Roll. You can delete these photos, from within the camera or photos
app, on the phone, at any time.

Scenario 2:
You snap a couple of photos on your iPhone. The photos are located in your
Camera Roll.

You attach your phone to a computer and copy the photos to the computer while
at the same time, having the computer automatically remove them from the
phone's Camera Roll. Now the photos are on your computer and you elect to
synchronize them back to your phone in a different photo album; this is to say,
different than the original Camera Roll album. You do this so as not to
mistakenly delete them from the Camera Roll, in the future. The newly
synchronized photos may be in an album called my Photos, or something similar.

Once this is done, the only way to remove any photos, that have been
synchronized to the computer, is to first delete/remove the photos from the
default location on the computer; then, resync the phone.

I suggest that you review some Apple support documents on this as there are a
great many variables that you may need to take into account in order to
successfully manage photos on your iOS device.

Subject: How to remove pictures from my iPhone

Hi all,
I have tried to remove some hundreds of pictures that I have on my iPhone. I
disable the picture sharing through iCloud, and also I stopped the upload of
pictures from iCloud to my iPhone and vice versa.
However I don’t know how to remove the physical pictures from my iPhone. They
are hundreds, and I can’t delete one by one. Is there an efficient way to do
this?

Response from Google's disability support about Google Lens

Here is the reply I received today from

Thank you for contacting the Google Disability Support team!

I am happy to assist you with the Google Lens feature in Google Photos. It
looks like this new feature is getting rolled out in batches. I recommend
waiting for a few days and trying again. If you notice the option is still

confirm that what others are experiencing with VO swipe down read all gesture
is the same behavior. Ie repeating last few words before a new page in a

Richard, The problem of the repeating text occurs with the 2 finger swipe
down. When using the play button every thing is read correctly.

It looks like others have answered your question about the num pad which is
not present on the 480. Also, on this keyboard, various function keys are
labled with both the Windows and IOS functions. This truly the best keyboard

will work just as efficiently.

I would love to find a case which was smaller to hold my keyboard and my

RE: Wondering about Radium

2018-03-20 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Terri,

I'll answer your question, but this one can be easily checked by looking up
Radium on the app store which is what I did, here is the link:
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/radium-for-internet-radio/id684034823?mt=8
Here it says that version 1.1.1 was released on September 17, 2017 and it was
simply an update to 64 bit. I would appear to me that this app is no longer
updated, the developer made it 64 bit to extend its life, it probably works for
many people but I wouldn't count on it receiving updates very often.

Re: Continous Reading in Voice Dream

2018-03-20 Thread Nicola Sanders
Hi,

Obviously I don't have this problem when using the Play button, but I often use
Voice Dream Reader with a Braille display for work-related tasks and I always
have a few words repeated at the end of each screen of text. I can confirm that
it's quite annoying and it slows me down significantly, but I agree that it
would be even worse to have words missed out. I'll contact the developer to see
whether there is a solution, as I should have done months ago, and I suggest
that others do the same. We all have different use cases and what may seem a
detail for some could be quite serious for others.

Best

Nicky

Yes, I have noticed this behavior. In fact, it started I think after I
noticed and reported that the last few words on every page were being
skipped. After the next update, I started noticing the repetition of
the last few words on every page. I figured it was better than missing
 words so never reported it.

Re: Continous Reading in Voice Dream

2018-03-20 Thread Donna
Here is another reason why just using the play button isn't an option. We use
voicedream reader with my 7 year old who has functional vision & ADHD. My son
grasps the meaning of text if he reads it himself. With audiobooks my son is
easily distracted & has trouble retaining what was read to him.

2018-03-20 Thread Mary Otten
I also have a lot of recipe books in my Voice Dream library. I don’t see why
you would want to read with two fingers down flick, rather than play, if you’re
just reading through the recipe. But once you find one you actually want to
use, you can’t read with two fingers foot down anyway, because you will want to
be reading each line separately. Best thing for that is probably a braille
display, but if you don’t have one, you would just have to use VoiceOver‘s
ability to read by word. Or use one finger on the touchscreen to read by line.
Unfortunately the read by line command is absent in Voice Dream, but I think
that’s the fault of Apple, not the Voice Dream developers.
I don’t see what the problem is here. Use the play button for continuous
reading, and other features of voiceover for reading smaller snippets of text.

Point Taken, though the folks I have read about using the app because of
dyslexia use the play button.

If you haven't, you may want to write supp...@voicedream.com and ask others to
do likewise who feel this is a bug.

The voicedream app isn't just used by blind users. Those with good sight who
have dyslexia also use the voicedream app. So saying that the solution is just
to use the play button is not a solution. Text & photos can be viewed & read
when using the 2 finger swipe down. The repeating of the read text isn't a
problem for me, just an irritation & a noosence.

Re: Continous Reading in Voice Dream

2018-03-20 Thread Donna
Richard

The voicedream app isn't just used by blind users. Those with good sight who
have dyslexia also use the voicedream app. So saying that the solution is just
to use the play button is not a solution. Text & photos can be viewed & read
when using the 2 finger swipe down. The repeating of the read text isn't a
problem for me, just an irritation & a noosence.

There is your answer.
It is designed to use the play button.

I personally lock the phone when I am reading to avoid accidental interruptions
because of touching the screen etc., plus it saves battery doing it that way.

Hello all,

I noticed that when doing continuous reading in Voice Dream, using the
voiceover voices, the last few words at the end of a page repeats again when
switching to the next page. Has anyone had this problem? I am using the latest
versions of Voice Dream, and IOS on my devices.

Thanks.

Yes, I have noticed this behavior. In fact, it started I think after I
noticed and reported that the last few words on every page were being
skipped. After the next update, I started noticing the repetition of
the last few words on every page. I figured it was better than missing
words so never reported it.

How to remove pictures from my iPhone

2018-03-20 Thread pablocmd2014
Hi all,

I have tried to remove some hundreds of pictures that I have on my iPhone. I
disable the picture sharing through iCloud, and also I stopped the upload
of pictures from iCloud to my iPhone and vice versa.

However I don't know how to remove the physical pictures from my iPhone.
They are hundreds, and I can't delete one by one. Is there an efficient way
to do this?

Re: iHealth blood glucose meter

2018-03-20 Thread Donna
I don't have any knowledge of the iHealth glucose meter. I did go read the
reviews of the iHealth app. The rating was only 3 stars. Most people complained
that the glucose meter fails to connect to the app, even though it shows that
the meter is connected. The developer does not reply to emails when a person is
having a problem. Here is the link to the app so that you can read the reviews
for yourself.

Subject: Questions regarding Google Duo

Hello again everyone,

Does anyone know, is Google Duo accessible with the iPhone?

Could someone totally blind use it pretty easily?

If not, are there other options out there, so that you can video chat
with someone who has an Android?

Thank you,

Terri

Dice World

2018-03-20 Thread Terri Stimmel
Hello everybody,

I had to sign up with a new user name for Dice World, because I could
not ever get my password reminder from my other account.

Now I have no players, or people I used to play games with. I only play
Farkle.

But if you play Farkle, and would like to play with me, please search
for this email address.

icecreamlover1...@gmail.com

Like I said, I only play Farkle. I'd like to find some friends to play
with, as I miss the game.

Thank you,

Terri

Wondering about Radium

2018-03-20 Thread Terri Stimmel
Hello once more everyone,

This will be my last question for now.

I was wondering, is Radium still available?

Is it getting regular updates, or no?

Thank you,

Terri

How do I see if I have Google Lense?

2018-03-20 Thread Terri Stimmel

How do I figure out if I have Google Lense as an option?

Where do I look for it?
