Hello everyone,

Well I do not have this unit yeah, I looked at the link that was given for the
US version of the app. It states that this
app uses specific features, this device does not offer. I?m not sure what in
the world that means? I am using an iPhone S-6,
would the latest update.
Does anyone have any idea what that could mean?

Thank you,

Terri

Hello, I just finished up setting the app up. I am so glad the link was given
for the US store. It was a breeze to set up
with my iPhone. The app works great. I will be using my phone from now on to
scan my sensor.

Hello,

I too am waiting for the release of the Freestyle LibreLink app in the US App
Store. I currently am using the
TapTapSee application to capture a image of the screen and read the bg reading
to me. This works well enough for now
but it will be nice to have the app on the phone with the Voice Alerts active.
This feature is used to read the
current scanned blood sugar. It will also announce the direction such as slowly
falling, raising slowly, etc. From
what I have read on some of the Diabetes forums the app is fully accessible
with VoiceOver and it is pretty simple to
use. Here?s to hoping!

not quite as well as Envision. The envision app does cost. It is $4.99 a month,

Hulu

2018-11-06 Thread Lynda Ingraham
Good Morning,

Could someone post an update as to how accessible Hulu is currently? We have
become quite fond of NetFlix and reading and don't watch much tv any more.
Spectrum rates are going up again here in NY. If we can get similar
programming with Hulu for what little we watch, we have no problem parting
company with Spectrum.

I am wondering about search features and the labling of buttons etc.

Thank you in advance,

Re: Air pods and multi point?

2018-11-06 Thread Todd W
It *is* easy to switch, but not nearly as seamless as devices like the
Voyager Legend. It’s purely a matter of what you’re used to. I used to
use a Voyager Legend and it switched flawlessly between phone and iPad.
I’m one of those who doesn’t want the bluetooth device to autoconnect to
the watch, ever, so I removed it from the bluetooth devices on the watch to
keep the watch from hijacking the connection. I think the point to the
conversation is that Apple’s implementation of multipoint is a bit lacking.

Re: dropbox and the mac

2018-11-06 Thread Anna Dresner
Hi Davy,

There are a couple of ways of opening a folder with VoiceOver on a Mac once
you've located it in Finder:

1. Press Command-O.

2.Press Command-Down Arrow.

3. Press Right Arrow to expand the folder.

I prefer the first two, but occasionally they don't work, and I have to resort
to the third.

I hope that helps.

Best,
Anna

Re: App to replace TellMeWhen?

2018-11-06 Thread Wayne Merritt
I don't think the recommendations section in the More tab of the
GoodReads app is accessible; everything else works great. I've gone
there before and VoiceOver stopped working. I had to close and reopen
the app to get VO working again. I had tracked my own books on my own
until about 2 years ago. Now I track everything via GoodReads.
Whenever I start or complete a book I immediately go to the app and
update my progress. You can also set yearly reading goals and connect
with fellow bookworms on GoodReads or through Facebook, or the social
media app of choice. It has become one of my favorite apps and holds a
spot on the main home screen of frequently used apps on my phone. They
also look at what you have read and will drop in recommendations for
other authors/books, like "You enjoyed XX and you might like this."

Re: Hulu

2018-11-06 Thread Candy Lowe
Linda, i have had accessibility problems with hulu on and off. Basically,
right now, it is pretty accessible, but, about 6 months ago, it wasn't. All of
that being said, I was able to use with the tv app. In other words, you would
search for a program on the tv app, then if it was available in hulu, you were
able to access it through the tv appe. If you are not familiar with the TV
app, it is built into your phone. I will be glad to help you in any way off
list. Just let me know if you have anymore questions. It is definitely usable.
I never watched TV on my television, I only stream programs online. We still
have cable because my sided husband likes it, but I totally used streaming
services.

RE: message sent failure bug still a problem

2018-11-06 Thread Mr. Ed
Hi,

I believe you are having this issue when you are trying to send a text message
using Siri to a person who has an Android phone. I found this same issue
happening when I use Siri to send a text message to my son who has an Android
pone. If you have an email text that you have tried to send to him in the text
message field and try and send another message using Siri it will send the
second one. If you clear out all your text messages and then try sending with
Siri again it will not send it. But if you send a text message bye the messages
app it will send just fine. I believe this is an issue with the new IOS 12
using Siri to send text messages to an Android device as it is trying to send
it using iMessage instead of SMS.

I have another person try this on her iPhone 7 and it did the same thing. It
would not send them using Siri to another person who has an Android.

Hi all. When I dictate a text message using Siri I almost always get a
“message sent failure” prompt. I don’t have this problem when I type in a text
message either using the onscreen keyboard or MBraille. Is anyone else
noticing this? Is there a fix? I’m running IOS 12.01 on an IPhone 7. Thanks

my cousin on her Samsung, sent my son one, assume that he got it - was a
message that did not require response, in a group text. I did turn on SMS

Thanks for that one. So far, I have been able to send and receive messages with
my cousin on her Samsung, sent my son one, assume that he got it - was a
message that did not require response, in a group text. I did turn on SMS
though.

Best regards,

Carolyn

In Settings, Messages, does it say: Send as SMS on?
Below that it explains that SMS is used when iMessage is not available. Since
Androids cannot receive iMessages this has to be on.
If it is, and still does work, I'd call Apple Accessibility.

Hi,

I believe you are having this issue when you are trying to send a text
message using Siri to a person who has an Android phone. I found this same
issue happening when I use Siri to send a text message to my son who has an
Android pone. If you have an email text that you have tried to send to him in
the text message field and try and send another message using Siri it will send
the second one. If you clear out all your text messages and then try sending
with Siri again it will not send it. But if you send a text message bye the
messages app it will send just fine. I believe this is an issue with the new
IOS 12 using Siri to send text messages to an Android device as it is trying to
send it using iMessage instead of SMS.

I have another person try this on her iPhone 7 and it did the same
thing. It would not send them using Siri to another person who has an Android.

Thanks
in advance for your input.

God bless!

I have never had one to fail and have sent to Android and flip phones, but I
did turn on SMS.

Best regards,

Richard, I have turned on the SMS setting and continue to occasionally have
this problem. Thus far, I have not been able to find a common thread for the
failed messages.

Yes, I use Siri for my messages. It's so easy that way.

Hi,
Did you do it by using Siri? It workds fine using messages manually.
