Re: I can get an iPhone 7 for $199.00!

2020-10-03 Thread Kelly Pierce
If you are willing to switch carriers, you can get $200 or $300 off
the base SE 2020 model. Metro and Xfinity are offering deals. Apple
has settled a lawsuit for iPhone 6s and 7 series users. If you have
one, you can file a claim with the court for $20 to $30 in cash to
compensate for an early battery replacement. The deadline to file a
claim ends in a few days.

Apple provides five or six years of fresh iOS versions. This year for
example, iOS 14 supports the iPhone 6s, which was introduced in 2015,
as its oldest supported iOS. That will be six years of active
support.

You need to get the Amazon music app for your iPhone, not the Amazon a lady
app. The Amazon music app is what you need.

Correcting Spellings and Adding Credit/DebitCards?

2020-10-03 Thread Fazil
Hi, Group.

A friend has iPhone5S. He has a valid AppleID but doesn't have any
credit/debitCards attached to it. Somebody who helped him create AppleID,
misspelled his lastname.

Now he would like to add credit/debitCards to his AppleID and correct his
name too.

How can he do that, please?

I would be glad to help him if I understand the instructions here.

Thank you very much!

Thanks!

I will try again but this is the link I don’t see when trying to add the

In the passcode settings, there should be some thing that says passcode
options. activate that and I think you may still find the four digit option
available. But six digits is far more secure.

  Hi Jen,

Yes, Face ID is easy to set up with VoiceOver running. You get prompts the
whole way. During the setup process, you'll be prompted to set it up. If it's
already set up, you can go into Settings and do it. Make sure your room is well
lit, and then follow the prompts. Face ID works fine in the dark once it's set
up, but my experience with the iPhone X is that having a good amount of light
while you're setting it up helps. Once you have it set up, you only need to
enter your passcode occasionally, mostly after a restart. The rest of the time,
it uses Face ID. There is no Touch ID on the 11.

  Best,
  Anna

RE: A few questions re iPhone 11

2020-10-03 Thread Richard Turner
Jan, you said:
Hi,
Got an iPhone 11 and am wondering where dictation settings are located.
* They should be in the Siri settings where you can turn on dictation.

Where I do I find wifi assist.
* WiFi Assist is near the bottom of the cellular settings.

Is there touch id for iPhone and if so how do I enable it.
* No touch ID on the 11. You would use Face ID and/or a passcode.

Is face id easily accessible for someone with no vision to set up.
* I have no vision and was able to set it up. I had vision until I was 12, so
I don't know if that made a difference.
Just follow the prompts.

Can you have the pass code only used when I turn on my phone instead of
everytime I unlock my phone.
* Yes, if you use Face ID. If you don't use Face ID, then no, it will need the
passcode each time you unlock your phone.
If you use Face ID, I recommend turning off the Requires Attention setting, but
leave on Attention Aware in the Face ID settings.
Requires attention means you have to be looking at the phone pretty much
exactly the same way as when you set it up.
Turning that off, means if you are slightly angled, it will still recognize you.

Richard.

Amazon Music

2020-10-03 Thread Maria Campbell
Just today, when I open Amazon music on my iPhone7, I can't hear speech
out of the bottom speaker, but can hear it through the top speaker or
whatever that hole is at the top.  I have to mess around with swipes
till I get the sound as it belongs.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

A few questions re iPhone 11

2020-10-03 Thread Jen .
Hi,
Got an iPhone 11 and am wondering where dictation settings are located.
Where I do I find wifi assist.
Is there touch id for iPhone and if so how do I enable it.
Is face id easily accessible for someone with no vision to set up.
Can you have the pass code only used when I turn on my phone instead of
everytime I unlock my phone.
Thanks.

Re: Brit box with voice-over

2020-10-03 Thread Richard Turner
Apple accessibility yesterday requested my feedback number on a bug report I
had submitted through the beta because the same issue had been reported with
the release of 14.01.
So since they had asked for it, I thought it was a good idea to start doing
that if some thing is seen in both release and beta versions.

This sounds like an iOS 14 issue with VoiceOver.

After my recent experience with a bug, I'd first report it through the feedback
app, then include the feedback report number when reporting it to Apple
Accessibility.

I have been trying to use the BritBox app on my iPad Pro running iOS 14.0.1 and
on my iPad six generation running the beta and on both devices as soon as I
launch BritBox using voice-over, it crashes. Launching Brit box without
voice-over does not crash. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it
and the problem remains the same. Has anybody else found this bug?
