Re: sending and receiving audio messages with SIRI on IOS 14

2020-10-04 Thread Robin

Thought:
This was a Feature of Apple's iOS14, where Users (I Thought)
would Be Able to utilize Apple'sSiri to Send Audio iMessage,
as "They" could Do when "They" use Apple'sSiri to Send iMessages

&
(I Presumed)
When Users, who Received an Audio iMessage, & Asked Apple'sSiri to
Read TheirMessages, i.e., iMessages, that Apple'sSiri would simply
"Play the Audio iMessage" as Apple'sSiri Did "Read iMessages",
so if there was an Audio iMessage, then Apple'sSiri would
Naturally Play the Audio iMessage

Guess that Feature MayBe Released IN a Future Version/Iteration of
Apple's iOS, if it's Not already Present IN Apple's iOS14.
Personally, I Don'tKnow, as I wasn't a BetaTester, & I haven't
UpDated "any" of My iOSDevices to iOS14, as of The Writing of this
MessagePostin'

Is there a setting he needs to check for the audio to work?

Having Trouble Entering Time Using While in Do Not Disturb

2020-10-04 Thread Shirley Baker
When scheduling times for do not disturb, I'm having trouble entering times.
Whenever I type in for example 10 and select PM, it reads it as 12:10. Why is
it reading it as 12? Is that because I used 12:00 at another time? Even when I
deleted it, it still read it as 12:10. It used to be a picker item and I don't
see that now. Someone please respond and tell me what I need to do to change
this. It's driving me nuts.

Hi Jen,

Yes, Face ID is easy to set up with VoiceOver running. You get prompts the
whole way. During the setup process, you'll be prompted to set it up. If it's
already set up, you can go into Settings and do it. Make sure your room is well
lit, and then follow the prompts. Face ID works fine in the dark once it's set
up, but my experience with the iPhone X is that having a good amount of light
while you're setting it up helps. Once you have it set up, you only need to
enter your passcode occasionally, mostly after a restart. The rest of the time,
it uses Face ID. There is no Touch ID on the 11.

Best,
Anna

Best,
Anna

Can you have the pass code only used when I turn on my phone instead of

Hi,

On my SE, on the screen where you can enter a 6-digit number, there's a
Passcode Options button. Double-tap that to get all the passcode options.

RE: sending and receiving audio messages with SIRI on IOS 14

2020-10-04 Thread Richard Turner
He should check his setttings, messages, to see if Raise to Listen is on.
That means when you get an audio message, you raise the phone and it should
start playing.
Though he should be able to tap on the attached audio message to play it I
think.

Hi,

I am able to send audio messages with the update using SIRI by only saying
"send audio message to blah, blah" but the person who receives the audio
message as an attachment cannot hear the message. The text version will show up
on the screen, but the audio is not playing. He is using a 2020SE.

Is there a setting he needs to check for the audio to work?

Something I may need to change or double check on my end?

Thanks.

Hi, Group.

A friend has iPhone5S. He has a valid AppleID but doesn’t have any
credit/debitCards attached to it. Somebody who helped him create AppleID,
misspelled his lastname.

Now he would like to add credit/debitCards to his AppleID and correct his name
too.

How can he do that, please?

I would be glad to help him if I understand the instructions here.

Thank you very much!

Thanks!

In the passcode settings, there should be some thing that says passcode
options. activate that and I think you may still find the four digit option

Kitty,

Like Mary said, you need the Amazon Music app from the app store. Once you
download it, you'll have to sign in with your Amazon email and password. You
then can enjoy the playlists and songs that you have created the your Alexa

I will definitely report this issue regarding the VoiceOver only being heard

RE: Correcting Spellings and Adding Credit/DebitCards?

2020-10-04 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
This would all be easiest by going to http://appleid.apple.com using a
computer. Log in and you can make changes to your Apple I d there as well as
well as add a credit cardd.

Subject: Correcting Spellings and Adding Credit/DebitCards?

Thanks!

Hi all,

Maria, I hear exactly what you heard. It does that until I start playing a
song. Once I started playing one song, VoiceOver came back the way it should. I
don't know what happened here.

Kitty,

Like Mary said, you need the Amazon Music app from the app store. Once you
download it, you'll have to sign in with your Amazon email and password. You
then can enjoy the playlists and songs that you have created the your Alexa
device. Hope this helps.

I will definitely report this issue regarding the VoiceOver only being heard
through the top speaker to Amazon.

Thanks,

trouble with uber and lift apps

2020-10-04 Thread martin
Hello: since I have updated to iOS 14 I have had
difficulties in using the uber and lift apps. I have found that in uber when
I was ready to confirm a ride that the button didn't seem to work. I had to
have my sighted companion finish requesting the ride. In lift when I search
for a ridt voiceover doesn't read the results.

Has anyone else encounters these problems?

Thank you.

Martin Nelson

Keynote help?

2020-10-04 Thread Jenifer Barr
Hi all.
I have to create a presentation and I want to use keynote instead of powerpoint.
A few questions: 1. after I create and save my presentation... can I edit it in
powerpoint?
2. Any tutorials or podcasts on this app?
3. Anything I have to know before creating my presentation? Meaning... any tips.
Thanks everyone
Jen
