Bard mobile is working just fine.  I'm currently listening to a bard
book wright now with no issues.  I've got over 1200 bard books into
bard mobile on my iPhone and they all work as they should.

I just finished downloading a new BARD title onto my beloved 8 Plus less than 7 
minutes ago.

All is well with the service, as far as I know.

By the way, the title I just downloaded was released in March of this year, a 
novel by Alma Katsu, entitled, "The Deep."

No. I’m not having any problems with the site or with the stuff I have 
downloaded, and there’s a lot of that. Even if the site were down, I wouldn’t 
think that would affect stuff that you already had on your device. Very 
interesting and not in a good way.

Apple Event Announced for October 13: iPhone 12 and More 
Expected
Apple this week announced that it will be hosting its second event in as many 
months on Tuesday, October 13 at 10 a.m. Pacific 
Time.
 During the event, Apple is widely expected to unveil its iPhone 12 lineup, and 
it may have a few other products to 
announce,
 such as AirTags item trackers, AirPods Studio over-ear headphones, a so-called 
"HomePod mini," and/or a new Apple TV with its own gaming controller.

As with its Apple Watch and iPad event in September, Apple will be hosting this 
event virtually with a video streamed from its Apple Park campus in California.

event.

Earlier this year, Apple also promised that it will ship its first Mac with a 
custom Apple Silicon processor by the end of 2020, but it might not make an 
appearance at the October event, as rumors suggest that Apple may be planning

is working fine for me.
Have you checked the tone is enabled.

have over 1500 on my phone and iPad right now.  Below is a link to a public 
shared read only folder of over 2 ring tones and alerts.  There in folders 
and categories. There already in the ring tone format, just pick what you want 
and copy them to your device.  You will need at least 7GB to download the 
entire collection.  Enjoy!

iCloud for Windows

Hi all,

I would like to instal iCloud for Windows on my Windows 10 PC, even though I 
appreciate it isn't all that accessible.  I have 3 reasons for wanting to do 
this:-

First, I would like access to my iCloud inbox within Microsoft Outlook
Second, I would like access to both my iCloud calendar and my iCloud contacts 
on my Windows PC
And third, I would like access to my files on iCloud drive on my Windows PC.

Can anyone please advise me whether I am best to download the version of iCloud 
from the Apple website which is apparently for Windows 7 or Windows 8, or 
whether I should download the Windows 10 app from the Microsoft Store?  
Whichever I download, is anyone able to advise the best way of accessing the 
different options available in that programme?

You have to use iTunes, unless you have another program that will let you 
move them to your phone. I have iTools, but sadly it is not accessible, so 
someone helps me with it.

I'm very sorry to read this as I sit on the cusp of potentially buying a 
watch and would have loved to reference the resource. You should publish 
it on your own I bet many of us would buy it or even pre-order if we 
knew it was coming so as to insure it'd be worth your time to produce.

disappointment.

I've got a paid dropbox account with up to 2 terabytes of space which
is way more then enough for me.  Its just that uploading that much
will take a long time, but I'll do it since it sounds like a lot of
people want it.  I'll post to the list once it is uploaded completely.
Since I've got a paid account, I don't have to worry about to many
people downloading the file.

Dropbox will do the same thing.  If a file is downloaded by their predetermined 
of people, they will lock it.  The free dropbox will only allow 2 gb of 
storage.  If I could download it, I would put it up on sendspace.

Yep.
I can confirm this bug.
I have change volume with volume buttons set to off and I manually
change volume to 50%.
However, suddenly it automatically set itself to 0%.
I have performed a factory reset of my XR but it did not solve this issue.
So, this is actually a bug.
This is a bit annoying, so I hope it will be fixed in the next update of iOS 14.

You need to use the App switcher.
If you have a home button, double tap the home button, then flick up with three 
fingers to close any open apps.
If no home button, try the same gesture you use to unlock the phone by sliding 
up from the bottom with one finger but slide a bit further to the second 
vibration and lift your finger.
Then, the three finger swipe up.

There is only one way to close apps and that is by using the app switcher.

Hello everyone I generally do not yet the latest version of iOS when it comes 
out. I wait for later releases. I keep my updates on manual so that I can 
decide when I want to update. I doing this I’ve been able to stay out of places

Volume keeps Being Reset To Zero

Hi
I have a really annoying issue with my iPhone 8 running IOS 14.0.1. The master 
volume keeps getting reset to 0. VO volume stays where I set it, but I can’t 
hear the ringer or alarms when this happens. Change with buttons is turned off. 
Has anybody out there had this issue with IOS 14? Any ideas?

Have you gone through the settings in Voice Dream Scanner and made sure your 
mute switch is not on?

Hi Joy,

Yes, you can have Emojis not spoken in a particular app. Do this through 
activities in VoiceOver settings.

Open VoiceOver Settings and choose Activities. Choose New Activity. In the 
Verbosity SEttings section, choose Speak Emojis, and choose Off. Make any other 
changes you like to settings. Then choose the context button near the bottom of 
the activities screen, and choose Twitter. From now on, voiceOver won't speak 
emojis in the Twitter app.

Hey, Cliff, I was just curious, I ot your shared iCloud folder with the 
ringtones and sounds library. I've found the Halloween ringtone I've been 
wanting for a bit, but I don't know how to select it or add it to my ringtones. 
I've not dabbled in this in a bit. Can you give me some direction? Thanks.

Netatmo weather app update

Anyone using this app noticed that the radio and battery status from the 
external modules can’t be read with Voice Over? Any work around? Tips?
The developers only solution to the problem is reinstalling the app and sending 
them a screen shot. I suspect that the text has been replaced by graphics 
totally useless to us Blindies, can anyone confirm this? It would add to the 
wind direction on the wind gauge, represented by an arrow. Shame! I love the 
station and all the info it gives in real time. Any comments and info on this 
matter very much appreciated!
