app to find ip addresses on wifi network

2020-11-27 Thread Fanus Buys
Hello listers
Is there such an accessible app? I added a TPLink extender and the setup
completed but now I want to check if it is indeed connected to the network.

Fanus

Subject: Strange Pronunciation Issues

I'm encountering a couple of pronunciation issues with VO I can't account for.
First, it is now always pronouncing "re:" as "regarding". Second, even though I
have my punctuation level set to some, it is not pronouncing many of the
symbols included in that level, such as underscores and slashes. I'm using iOS
14.2 on an iPhone 7.

Re: Deleting Books From The Kindall App?

2020-11-27 Thread Michael Feir
The Kindle service lets you archive books which removes them from your
device. They're always available to be downloaded again from the cloud when
you need them. Personally, I prefer to keep my complete library of
thousands of books on my iPHONE. However, not everyone has the space and
this is why Kindle works the way it does.

To archive a book is very simple. When you're on the book title in your
list of books found in the "library" tab, flick down until you come to
"archive". Double tap on that and the book will no longer take up space on
your iPHONe. If you wish to only see books you have downloaded rather than
your complete collection, you can find a button dcalled "downloaded" at the
top of the library screen near the "filter", "all" and "sort" options. This
can be helpful if you don't want to accidentally download a book by double
tapping on its title. Use the "all" button to return to the full list of
books available in your collection. Hope that helps you more fully enjoy
the Kindle app. Happy reading.

love playing my music all over my home so easily. I thought about getting a

Re: removing titles from the kindle app

2020-11-27 Thread Richard Turner
Do a 1 finger triple tap on the title, you should get a context menu.Flick
right through the options, and you should find remove from library, and/or
Permanently delete.

organizing titles in the kindle app

2020-11-27 Thread Donald Raikes
Hello,

I have a number of books in my kindle app covering several different
general areas of interest.

Is there any way to group the titles in order to organize them? I see
there is the ability to put the books in collections, but I don't see
how that helps with organizing the library list.

I am just trying to make it simpler to find various books.

any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks

Hi,
if I wish to see what is connected to my network I log in to my router.
Wouldn’t this give the info you require?

Re: organizing titles in the kindle app

2020-11-27 Thread Richard Turner
Hi,
Collections is what you want, though you have to do the setting up manually.
Select Collections as your sort.
Then, there will be Add a Collection or something like that.
Name the Colection.
And it will offer you a chance to add titles to that collection.
Go through and double tap on the books you want in that collection. They will
say selected when you do.
There is a done button.
It iwll tell you how many books are uncollected.
You can add as any collections as you want.
Then, you can chooe to open a collection, or change the sort back to list or
grid, etc.
HTH,

I can't speak for the home pod,
But the sonos1 is a nice speaker but it does have touch buttons which
aren't marked on the top of the speaker, So it is best to be able to use alexa
on the device,

I'm not a fan of alexa

So it really depends on what you're after.

Hi all, something I’m wondering is, do you feel like the HomePod mini is the
best Airplay speaker for the price?

The only other option seems to be the $179-$199 Sonos 1.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks,

Re: Opinions on HomePod mini?

2020-11-27 Thread Robert Carter
Hi Traci and List,

I am all into the Apple ecosystem. I have Macs, iPhones and Apple Watches
connected to my network.

I want to use Siri as my digital assistant. So, the HomePods are perfect for
me. I have three regular HomePods and two homePods Mini. I also have a Sonos
system. To my ears, the HomePods sound fantastic and they can all be very
easily controlled with Siri. You can have music playing in one room, all rooms
or only the rooms that you choose.

I should also mention that I subscribe to Apple Music. So controlling the
HomePods with my voice is much easier and more seamless than trying to control
the Sonos through its app. Don’t get me wrong, the Sonos sounds great and is
easy to use. It just isn’t as easy as the HomePods are. Again, the HomePods are
especially great if you are all in with Apple devices and if you subscribe to
Apple Music.

Hi Robert,
I have a pair of HomePods in the living room, and I do like them. I would like
them more when Siri gets better and actually playing stuff I want her to play
that’s not part of Apple Music. Stuff that I can easily get played on Google
devices, thinking of foreign radio stations in particular. How would you
compare the homePod mini to the homePod? Obviously, it’s not going to have the
same sound. I don’t know if you have echoes. But I would be curious comparing
that HomePod mini to others in its class if you have any experience there.

Re: Opinions on HomePod mini?

2020-11-27 Thread Joshua Hendrickson
I don't care that much for apple music. I tried it with a free
subscriptionand quickly canceled it. I've got a google home and I
think it has way much more music to choose from then apple does. When
I listen to music, I listen to a lot of bluegrass and classic country
and apple music just doesn't have very much of that genre when
compared to google. Also, with Siri, I can get her to play things
from youtube music, or use my google assistant which both youtube
music and google assistant are both working great now with IOS 13.7.
I like that I've got loads of music at my disposal if I say go over to
my sisters house for thanksgiving and want to listen to some music
while using a set of bluetooth headphones. It all depends on what
smartspeaker you are most familiar with.

Hi all, there are features of the Homepod Mini that interest me, but honestly,
it is mostly for the airplay capabilities. I want to use my i'devices and play
from the apps. Pandora, Bard Moble, Amazon Music. Would you say this is pretty
seemless '? Airplaying music via Apple TV is a pain.

When I check my status bar while the h800 headphones are connected, it says
bluetooth headset connect 0 percent charge.
This is while I am listening to them, so obviously they are not dead.
I've added the battery widget to the Today screen but it only shows the watch
and my phone.
Am I missing something, or do these just not show up correctly?
