Any bluetooth speaker when your bard book has chapter markup, should
go forward and back when you use the correct button presses. The same
is true with any bluetooth headset or ear buds.

RE: Question re: Tribit sound max pro

2021-04-06 Thread Alan Lemly
Yes, when playing a BARD book with the BARD Mobile app on my iPhone SE 2020,
pressing the multifunction button three times with the jump to button set to
chapters jumped the book to the previous chapter. Pressing it twice jumped to
the next chapter.

Hi Donald,

Glad you're enjoying your Tribit MaxSound Plus speaker. That third from the
left button is the MFB or multifunction button. Below is a table documenting
the function based on the number of presses of the MFB:

Number of presses

Function

Once

Play/pause

Twice

3 times

Once when incoming call

Answer/end the call

Press and hold for 2 seconds when incoming call

Reject the call

Press and hold for 2 seconds

Activate VoiceDial if your device supports it

Hope this helps.

First, sincere thanks to those who recommended this speaker prior to Christmas.
I got it for Christmas and think it is truly a great speaker for the price. It
generates a great sound and more than adequate volume for its size.

Now for the question: As you view the speaker from the front, the left most
switch is power: the second, scan for blue tooth signal; but what is the third
button used for? The fourth is volume down, the fifth, volume up, and the sixth
switches to auxiliary input mode. But please tell me what the third button from
the left is used for.

Thanks.

I do not know of any way to do that.
my suggestion is to put it at either the top or bottom of the control center.
Then when you open the control center, you can get to it quickly.

I downloaded the app as well and started the signup process, but I get
to the second screen where it asks for my profile details name, birth

frustrating. My scale should arrive tomorrow, so I am hoping to get
things setup before then. I am going to the arboleaf site to see if
there is a way to signup there and create/edit my profile.

hi, everyone, I am having trouble keeping direct touch added to the rotor.
Everything else I want is in there, but for some reason it does not
stay there. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I didn't think there
was a save button or anything. I would appreciate your enlightening me. Thanks
a bunch.

RE: Question re: Tribit sound max pro

2021-04-06 Thread bentleyj1952
Hi,

While reading a Bard book, does the go forward a track and go backward a
trackmake any changes? I am hoping that it does with my iPhone.

But, Either way, there are so many good reviews that I have decided to buy one.
Probably in a day or two.,

Oops! It was in the question and answer section. Not in the reviews. There
are 349 customer questions right before the reviews. I only read through about
half and noticed around 15 to 20 complaints.

People kept asking why the BT speaker kept shutting down in the middle of
streaming or listening to music. This was happening usually 20 to 90 minutes
in to using the device. The seller kept telling everyone to contact them for
assistance. Some of the users returned their speakers for replacements that
did work right.

I am still considering trying this BT speaker because a lot of respondents to
the complaints stated that they did not have the problem. And Amazon does have
a decent return polocy.

These speakers are made in the US with very high reviews and they seem to have
excellent customer support. BTW, they are currently selling a one hundred
dollar speaker for fifty bucks.

Hi Donald,

Glad you're enjoying your Tribit MaxSound Plus speaker. That third from the
left button is the MFB or multifunction button. Below is a table documenting
the function based on the number of presses of the MFB:

Number of presses

Function

Once

Play/pause

Twice

3 times

Once when incoming call

Answer/end the call

Press and hold for 2 seconds when incoming call

Reject the call

Press and hold for 2 seconds

Activate VoiceDial if your device supports it

Hope this helps.

First, sincere thanks to those who recommended this speaker prior to Christmas.
I got it for Christmas and think it is truly a great speaker for the price. It
generates a great sound and more than adequate volume for its size.

Now for the question: As you view the speaker from the front, the left most
switch is power: the second, scan for blue tooth signal; but what is the third
button used for? The fourth is volume down, the fifth, volume up, and the sixth

Send you a link to what exactly? I got the info about the multifunction button
on the Tribit MaxSound Plus speaker on my own and input it manually into an
Excel file.

Thanks.

2021-04-06 Thread Vivian Conger
Richard,

I went looking for this and didn’t find it. I search in the App Store on my
phone and don’t do emails there yet.

Could you please send the link again and I will check it out on the computer
and then try to download on my phone?

I did download MLB the #1 Official app but I can’t get passed the screen that
wants me to subscribe to MLB TV for $24.95 per month. That is not what I want.

Many thanks for any assistance.

Re: Apple Arcade

2021-04-06 Thread Wayne Merritt
Of the games I've tried, Dear Reader is the only one which is remotely
accessible. Other games have some accessibility controls added but not
enough to make them playable. One example of this is a simplistic
Solitaire game made by Mobile Ware. I am able to bring up a screen to
play the game, but then the cards are not visible to play. I am able
to access some controls by swiping around, and one of them has rotor
actions available, so perhaps some thought was given to access. It
also helps to have Screen Recognition turned on for some of the games.
I have been in contact with the Dear Reader group and have given them
ideas of areas to improve the game. If anyone is interested in giving
them constructive feedback, their email address is:
supp...@localno12.com
I am hanging onto my Arcade subscription in hopes that Dear Reader
becomes fully accessible. If I can offer a constructive opinion:
Though Apple highly promotes their hardware and software as being
accessible, there seems to be a disconnect in accessibility on Apple
Arcade. Some games are partly accessible, but are also missing some
pieces. A good example is Word Laces. One can start the tutorial, but
only 2 of the 4 letters are visible to create the first word. As I
mentioned before, having a newer phone, like the XR or later, helps
since one can use the various Recognition options. These at least make
parts of the game visible but not enough to add any play value. I
never thought I'd say this, but I wish Apple would require
accessibility of games before putting them on Arcade. Granted, not all
games can be made accessible, but adding the requirement might bring
awareness for many developers. Just my thoughts.

Be well,
Wayne Merritt

Re: bathroom scale that connects to iPhone

2021-04-06 Thread Pete Nalda
Thank you for the heads up! Unfortunately I already Had ordered it, based on
the price and availability. Someone had mentioned maybe on another list of
cardio-based but that was out of stock. When I found out it was android only, I
thought well maybe I can see the display on the scale itself and don’t worry
about the other stuff I certainly hope it is compatible and easy enough to set
up on the iOS device. I myself am high partial so I can see somethings with
magnification and withoutVoiceover. Keep us posted

Thanks.

I had the same thought and just wasn’t going to say anything.

I’ve driven a car with my father in the passenger seat directing,

It’s easy to do but not as easy as one would think,
I feel my having driven prior to going blind was a benefit
Except for when I took out the letter /mail box at the gate.

Re: bathroom scale that connects to iPhone

2021-04-06 Thread Bill Gallik
Might I suggest browsing the Arboleaf web site at:

www.arboleaf.com

I downloaded the Arboleaf iOS app and found it impossible to complete
registration to their services. Now granted, I have not yet purchased a scale
from them, but I find it quite unusual for that wee tiny bit of detail to
prevent anybody from registering on the web site. I plan to call them later
this morning to make certain I haven’t signed up previously, an already
existing associated with my e-mail address most likely be a good reason for my
troubles.

BTW: I really appreciate this thread because I have been looking for an app
accessible scale to monitor my stats!

I have downloaded this game. If only it could be made legal for us to

RE: Drive Blind

2021-04-06 Thread CJ & AA MAY
I don’t think they use Brand’s Hatch for Grande Prix anymore but think racing
still takes place there.

I’m going back at least twenty years, maybe more, but at the time I belonged to
agroup which organised some really interesting and exciting events, like going
up in a glider, tandem riding, visits to museums with special touch tours, but
sadly it doesn’t exist anymore.

Yeah branz hatch was once one of the big tracks in motor racing

I didn’t think it was used these days.

Yeah someone looked at something like that here in NZ years ago vbut due to
insurance or health safety concerns they didn’t let it happen.

I have actually driven at car at Brand’s Hatch, a racing course in England – I
think at abut 40 miles an hour with a sighted driver beside me who had dual
controls. I did manage not to crash the car, which is more than I can say when
playing Blind Drive!
