Hi Kay,

Don’t get me wrong,
You just have to take each step one at a time,

No hitting people with your watch arm,

But I do understand what your thoughts are and or fears

But so long as you’re not overly crazy and it will be alright.

Good luck and have faith in your stability

  Go to:

Well, here is one for you. I have gotten a new phone and am still
trying to decide if I want it. I have copied all the apps and things like
that on to the new phone. Yesterday my husband noticed that the battery
level was low, so he plugged it in. Early this morning I wandered
downstairs and discovered that it was turned on and plugged in. Of course
it had tried to back up and unload all of its stuff to iCloud. Now there is
a message saying that there is not enough space in my iCloud account to back
up everything on this phone and I should go to settings to manage my
account. First of all, I didn't even want this phone to back up to iCloud
because of not knowing if I am going to keep it. Second, how do I manage
this or get that phones stuff off my iCloud account. Thirdly, until I
decide whether or not I'm keeping this phone, it shall be powered off before
charging. Can anyone solve my problem? Thanks for any help.

No, I mean tap to wake.
In settings, in the search box at the top, type tap to wake to find that

RE: When in the watch app?

2021-11-30 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Hi Kay,

You make it sound like you are going to destroy this watch the first time you
wear it,

I’m just wondering, b
But do you go out and start punching things or backslapping people for the hell
of it while you’re out walking?

Because the watch is pretty tough,

I’m constantly bumping in to solid objects like buildings or power poles on our
streets,
Cars, both parked and sometimes moving,
Even the odd fat person
Plus there is tripping over anything I can find at ankle level,

And touch wood here I’m not damaging my watch,

I do have a shell around it for knocks and bumps but the face is really only
protected by the jersey or hoodie I wear if I’m wearing one.

I will admit though I have broken the faces on 2 of my passed watchs,

The original apple watch, 7 days after I received it,
I hit my wrist against a steel cabinet on a city street,
There to control traffic lights,

Apple replaced that under the apple care plus I had,

And then my series 2 I smacked against a car body parked on the side of the
street,

That was however after the series 4 had been released so I had the s2 repaired
under insurance and purchased a series 4,

Which I’ve still got as well as my new series 7.

So give yourself a break and see how you get on,

My thought is you have it then you should wear it,
Good luck and don’t be afraid
The boogie man only comes out at night!

  Also Kay,

If you decide to keep the phone, and use iCloud backups, you can get 50 GB
of iCloud space for 99¢ a month.

First, plug it in and then turn it off immediately. Once you plug a
phone in that is powered off, it powers up… Annoying yes.

You can go into the settings at the top of settings and double tap on
your name.

Then, swipe over to iCloud and double tap.

Now, swipe over to iCloud backup and toggle it off.

If it asks what you want to do with the backed up info, if it offers a
chance to just leave it on the phone, do that.

I’m not sure exactly how to get stuff off your iCloud that has backed up
already.

Someone here does I’m sure, or apple accessibility.

2021-11-30 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I haven't used it a lot, but accessing Outlook on line seems pretty accessible
and a relatively nice implementation.

Another thing you could try to do is go into your Junk folder and move the
messages into your In Box. Not sure if this will train Outlook or not, but I'd
think it would.

You may have to log in to your Outlook.com email account online and tell
Outlook that these messages are not junk. As Richard says, it's easy using
Outlook on a computer, not sure how easy it is or not online using an iPhone.

I didn't realize you were asking how to do that on an iPhone.
I do not think the iPhone has that ability.
I'd call Apple Accessibility.

RE: E-SIM?

2021-11-30 Thread Sieghard Weitzel

They say people will be able to get a booster shot 6 or 8 months after their
second shot which in your case means at the very earliest you might be able to
get it the second or third week of January. If it is done by appointment only
and if the roll-out to the general public starts in January then I assume those
who were vaccinated in May and June will get a notification first, really
impossible to say.

Sorry, regarding the booster shot I don't know, my understanding is that once
the first wave of it is done (older people, health care workers etc.) the
general public will be offered a booster shot starting in January and it will
be strictly by invitation. This means you will get a text message or email when
it's your turn since you would have provided either your phone number or email
address when you registered earlier this year for the first and second shot. I
can't remember when you had your second shot, but whether you are already being
offered a booster or not depends a lot on that. My wife and I had our second
shot on June 11 and they say booster shots will be offered after at least 6
months so for us that would be mid December and I hope that we will also get
our invite to book an appointment some time in January or early February. We
are planning to go to the Philippines at the very end of February or early
March and hopefully we'll get it before then. I would, however, want to have it
at least a week or 10 days before I go on a major trip like yours or ours just
in case you do experience a bit of a reaction; I certainly would not book it
for a day or two before you are about to go on a long flight.

My provider is Freedommobile and I don’t have an ESIM compatible phone right

If I get Booster in January, would it be reflected in my Federal Vaccine

Hi Fazil,

What is the newest phone you have? E-SIM was first supported on the iPhone XS
and XR which were released in the fall of 2018.
I you have a compatible phone like the above or an 11, 12 or now 13-series
phone (or SE2020) it would be best if you switch to e-SIM with your provider
here in Canada. As long as you are with Telus, Rogers or Bell that is no
problem, but as far as I know the MVNO's like Koodo, Virgin, Fido etc. don't
support e-SIM.
I just switched back to Telus from Koodo and while they first sent me a SIM
card, I was told that once my number had been ported over from Koodo and
everything was set up I could get a QR code shipped to me and make the switch
to e-SIM. Once that is done you can then remove the physical SIM from the tray
and throw it away and your SIM tray will now be available for a SIM card when
you travel whether it is your upcoming trip to Saudi Arabia or whether you are
going back home to Pakistan.
You can even set up a special ringtone for the physical SIM so you know right
away when the phone rings whether it's your main number or not although I am
not entirely sure how it works if you assign a custom ringtone to a particular
contact whether that contact if they called the local number from whatever
country you are in would have the ringtone you set up for that SIM or whether
the ringtone you assigned to the contact would have priority.

When is your trip, I hope the new COVID-19 variant won't disrupt your plans.

Best regards,
Sieghard

I didn't realize you were asking how to do that on an iPhone.
I do not think the iPhone has that ability.
I'd call Apple Accessibility.

Re: Using Braille displays in email apps

2021-11-30 Thread Scott Davert
Hi Stuart.
Sadly, that's your best and only bet for the moment, and 15.2 isn't
looking any better.
Richahrd: There are a few issues with the Mail app and composing
messages using a keyboard on a braille display. When editing an email
in the Mail app using a braille display, after inserting a line break
focus will jump to the top of the screen, even though the cursor has
not jumped. Once this happens, getting input to work as it should is
not possible unless you hit space followed by back space and then
continue writing. There are also cursor issues, not with my bad
language you understand, but hitting cursor routing buttons often and
then editing often is not consistent. It's like the VoiceOver cursor
and braille cursor become unteathered. In fact, if you set the rotor
to word or characters, and then move it using speech, you will find
that this is where the editing cursor is, not where iit appears to be
in braille. Stuart: does this line up with your issues? Anything to
add?

Best,
Scott

I Messages

2021-11-30 Thread Noe Villeda
Hello list,

I've noticed hat when I receive an audio message, many times I can double tap
on the message and it will play right away. Other times, I get a file type
message, I double tap on it and press play. Is there a way to set I messages
to not get that other file type format?
