RE: Triple Tap Home

2022-06-15 Thread Nicola Sanders
Hi Karen,
The setting is called Accessibility Shortcut, and you can find it in Settings,
Accessibility. It's the last setting but one. Double tap on Accessibility
Shortcut and set it to VoiceOver, and you should be good to go. Let me know if
that doesn't make sense.
Best
Nicky

Subject: Triple Tap Home

I had to reset my 1st generation SE yesterday, with the help of Apple
Accessibility. I discovered today that the triple tap of the Home button no
longer turns VoiceOver off and on. Fortunately I was able to do it with the
help of Siri.

Would someone please tell me where to locate that setting? I know I've seen
it, but can't seem to locate it now that I need it.

Thanks.

Go to Settings, Accessibility and down to the bottom to double tap on
Accessibility Shortcut. Go down the list and double tap on what you want the
triple click of Home button to activate!

Linking File Format to Application

2022-06-15 Thread Bill Gallik
Here’s hoping someone on this list can give me a resolution to the following
issue.

I recently purchased an iPhone SE and loaded it with the apps from my iPhone 8.
 Among those apps is MS-Word.

I composed a Word document on my Mac and mailed it as an attachment to myself.
The idea was to open the attachment on my SE with Word. But that does not
appear to be happening.

How do you link Word files to the MS-Word app on the iPhone so the file can be
appropriately dealt with?

RE: A YouTube problem

2022-06-15 Thread Richard Turner
Hi,

Start at the top left of the screen where it may say something like video
player, then collapse video but keep flicking right with one finger to the More
Actions button and double tap.

There is a video loop on/off toggle that must have gotten set to on.

Thanks for asking the question because when I opened Youtube on my iPhone 13
Pro, there was a fabulous recording of a guitar arrangement for the 6 cello
suites by Bach.

Re: Why don’t messages delete everywhere if you delete them on the watch or on the phone?

2022-06-15 Thread Chris Chaffin

>now, I would assume that Apple is aware of it, but I am not sure why it has

I did learn that the Apple Watch does not back itself up to iCloud. All watch
backups are stored on your iPhone, then they are included in your phone's
iCloud backups. So I am not sure if the Apple Watch ever connects to iCloud
directly. This is why you do not have iCloud backup / sync settings on your
watch.

The only setting for iMessages that you specifically have on your watch is to
mirror iPhone or set it to custom. So at this time, it looks like your Apple
Watch is still tethered to your iPhone in many ways. Time will only tell if
and how much this might change with the next major release of watch OS.

I do agree and think that the deletion of messages should have reflected on
both devices back from the start. And since they don't, should be a something
that is at the top of the priority list to get working properly.
