Re: I no longer receive notifications from Weather Gods app

2022-12-17 Thread Gordon
Well I did everything suggested there in that article with no luck.
Completely reinstalled and restored purchases. I don't have a weather
gods current subscription, however I do have the grandfathered plan from
when I first bought it several years ago. Restoring purchases brought
that functionality back, but no notifications. I enabled the daily
summary to arrive at 7:00 PM and nothing came at 7:00.

Hi,

Another thing to try is choosing the Pause Notifications button, then
choosing the one to resume.

Re: Can I read MP3 books in my iPhone?

2022-12-17 Thread Gerardo Corripio
Try this one it’s free https://apps.apple.com/app/id1138219998 and works with MP3 zipped and unzipped, and with M4B format. The way I transfer from my computer via this app, is to put the books into Dropbox (using the PC’s Dropbox app, of course), to then from my IPHone, send the files (be zipped or unzipped) from Dropbox to the Book Player ap. Hope this helps some.GeraEnviado desde mi iPhone SE (2nd Generation) de TelcelEl 17 dic 2022, a la(s) 1:56 p.m., Rena escribió:Yes, please, I need more suggestions because I don’t use Voice Dream Reader. In addition, how should I transfer the files from pc to the phone? RenaFrom: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Richard TurnerSent: Saturday, December 17, 2022 1:58 PMTo: viphone@googlegroups.comSubject: RE: Can I read MP3 books in my iPhone? If the mp3 files are labeled in such a way that they will play in the right order, like chapter01.mp3, chapter02.mp3 etc., my favorite way to do this is to zip the files into one .zip file with the name of the book as the file name, then import it into Voice Dream Reader. Voice Dream Reader will take a zipped audio book and use the file name as the name of the book and each file then will be its own chapter and you can pause and come back to where you left off, you can drop bookmarks, etc. Others may have suggestions too. Richard, USA.“Reality is the leading cause of stress for those who are in touch with it.”  --  Jane Wagner from The Search for Intelligent Life in the Universe My web site: https://www.turner42.com From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of RenaSent: Saturday, December 17, 2022 10:36 AMTo: viphone@googlegroups.comSubject: Can I read MP3 books in my iPhone? Hello, I have SC20 updated to the latest version. What can I do to transfer MP3 books from Windows pc to my iPhone?Otherwise, can I do it from my Mac also? Rena-- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. If you have any questions or concerns about the running of this list, or if you feel that a member's post is inappropriate, please contact the owners or moderators directly rather than posting on the list itself. Your V iPhone list moderator is Mark Taylor. If the mp3 files are labeled in such a way that they will play in the right
order, like chapter01.mp3, chapter02.mp3 etc., my favorite way to do this is to
zip the files into one .zip file with the name of the book as the file name,
then import it into Voice Dream Reader.

Voice Dream Reader will take a zipped audio book and use the file name as the
name of the book and each file then will be its own chapter and you can pause
and come back to where you left off, you can drop bookmarks, etc.

Others may have suggestions too.

Hello All,

Is there a way to add OneDrive as an option within Voice Dream Reader? I notice
that when the “Add” button is activated, followed by the “More” button to see a
list of services, while Drop Box and Google Drive, among others, are
available, OneDrive is not in this list. In order to access my One Drive
folder, I must activate the “File Browser” button and locate OneDrive which is
considerably more cumbersome. I had hoped that once I accessed files on
OneDrive, OneDrive would be placed in the “Add” list along with Drop Box and
Google Drive. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

That is not available right now.

Please write wins...@voicedream.com and

I don’t know what kind of fee he may have to pay to make that happen, but it

Subject: Voice Dream Reader and OneDrive

RE: Can I read MP3 books in my iPhone?

2022-12-17 Thread Richard Turner
If the mp3 files are labeled in such a way that they will play in the right
order, like chapter01.mp3, chapter02.mp3 etc., my favorite way to do this is to
zip the files into one .zip file with the name of the book as the file name,
then import it into Voice Dream Reader.

Voice Dream Reader will take a zipped audio book and use the file name as the
name of the book and each file then will be its own chapter and you can pause
and come back to where you left off, you can drop bookmarks, etc.

Others may have suggestions too.

Hi Nancy. What you need to do you need to go into settings keep scrolling down
until you get to battery. Double tap and a battery. Keep scrolling until you
get to battery health. Double tap on that. T Then scroll down a couple times
until you get to battery health and charging. Double tap into that. Then scroll
to get to maximum battery and it will tell you you don’t have to go into that
you just listen. It’ll tell you how much your battery is at the maximum

Re: battery charger case

2022-12-17 Thread Andy Baracco
That's what i liked about the Apple smart charging cases, was that the case
battery level was displayed on the Today Screen. Apple hasn't had them
available for sale in quite some time. The others I have seen use a series of
LEDs and you need sight to read them.

  Subject: battery charger case

  Hello

I am new to battery cases. I did not find any options for a quality Apple
battery case for my SE 2020 through Apple Sales, so I went for a cheap case via
Amazon.

I am confused about how these work even though I have been
read the instructions.

There is indeed a power switch on the back of the case. It is
presently turned off since the phone was charged when I first put it in the
case and I cannot remember if I had fully charged it beforehand. I did have the
battery case plugged in for hours before the phone was installed in it. I’m
assuming that the reading on the status bar of the phone is the actual charge
that the phone itself has. Is there a way to know how much charge the battery
case itself has? When would I power on the phone and know when to power it back
off if I am supposed to charge the phone first? It says it takes 2 hours but
how do I verify the battery has been charged to capacity?

Instructions for the case do indeed say that as the battery wears down, I
should charge the phone first, at which point after that was done, I would turn
the power back on to allow the battery case to then fill up.

An Amazon customer when doing a search says to charge both
phone and battery case at the same time. Before reading the instructions, that
is what I might have assumed would be the way to do it.

I cannot tell if I am getting any extra battery usage out of the phone in the
case of yet because uncharacteristically I did not use my phone a lot yesterday.

Is there a reading anywhere where I can see how much charge the battery case
has at any given time? Am I right that my phone is always going to read what
charge the phone itself has, and the only way to track the effectiveness of
gaining more battery time is if I notice that I have to charge less often for
my former average usage?

I O S 16.1.2

2022-12-17 Thread Noe Villeda
Hello list,

With the latest I O S update, I've noticed that my phone now vibrates when I
get any alert.

Is there a way to turn that off, without turning off vibrations entirely?

2022-12-17 Thread Vicky Collins
Yes, I do have the $1.49 per month subscription. If I’m on the main screen of
the app and I flick to the right once past settings, I see how many
notifications are enabled for the active city and I can double tap on that and
find a pause notifications button for the particular city. Or if I actually go
into settings and then keep flicking right to notifications, once I double tap
on notifications, the first thing I hear there is pause all notifications, and
if I flick to the right one more time from there, I hear the button for the
morning and evening schedule.

There is indeed a power switch on the back of the case. It is
presently turned off since the phone was charged when I first put it in the
case and I cannot remember if I had fully charged it beforehand. I did have
the battery case plugged in for hours before the phone was installed in it.
I'm assuming that the reading on the status bar of the phone is the actual
charge that the phone itself has. Is there a way to know how much charge the
battery case itself has? When would I power on the phone and know when to
power it back off if I am supposed to charge the phone first? It says it
takes 2 hours but how do I verify the battery has been charged to capacity?

Instructions for the case do indeed say that as the battery wears down, I
should charge the phone first, at which point after that was done, I would
turn the power back on to allow the battery case to then fill up.

An Amazon customer when doing a search says to charge both
phone and battery case at the same time. Before reading the instructions,
that is what I might have assumed would be the way to do it.

I cannot tell if I am getting any extra battery usage out of the phone in
the case of yet because uncharacteristically I did not use my phone a lot
yesterday.

Is there a reading anywhere where I can see how much charge the battery case
has at any given time? Am I right that my phone is always going to read what
charge the phone itself has, and the only way to track the effectiveness of
gaining more battery time is if I notice that I have to charge less often
for my former average usage?

2022-12-17 Thread Vicky Collins
Oh, sorry, guess I wasn’t clear, but I was talking about restore purchases in
the WeatherGods app.

 Hi,

I stopped receiving notifications, but after I opened the app, they
started up again. I suggest trying that if you haven’t already.

 Best,
