Share Sheet

2023-03-09 Thread Chris Chaffin

I have a question about the share sheet and the suggested apps displayed on it.

I had a scanned PDF file that I wanted to send to Seeing A I, but it was not
listed anywhere in the share sheet. And I looked under the more button and the
edit button and it was not listed.

I just do not understand how it is determined what apps show up in the share
sheet. I did Google it, but all I could find out is that it goes on the usage
of the app in question. But again, this does not make sense to me.

For example.
The main app I use is Seeing A I, but it is not listed, and it seems that there
is no way to add it to the share list. Now Supersense is listed, but I do not
remember the last time I used that app. Envision is also listed, but it has
been months since I have used that one. So why is not the main app I use not
listed?

One more point, it says it suggest apps based on usage. Well, I have the
Bitwarden app, but have never used it, but guess what, it is listed, why?
The Apple Books app is listed, but again, never used it, so why is it listed?

I can not see any logic to how apps are chosen to be in the share sheet, and
one of the main apps I use multiple times a week is not listed and it seems
that there is no way to add it.
I think Apple should give us more control on what is listed in the share sheet.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Chris

Iphone se 2 cutting out on phone calls

2023-03-09 Thread Amy Johnson
Hi just wanted to give an update. If anyone is still having this
problem I may have a solution. After trying many things and solving
the problem on and off I think I finally have found the real solution
hopefully. The problem is with having Hey Siri on. The reason I know
thi is I ended up going to the Apple store after dealing with apple
accessability for many weeks and having them reset the software even
after getting a new phone. This worked for a while until I turned on
Hey Siri. Then I had the problem again with the phone calls cutting
out again. So I turned off Hey siri and now I do not have this
problem anymore. Hope this may help someone.
Thanks,
Amy

2023-03-09 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Yes, unfortunately I forgot to check after installing the Facebook 405 update
whether this fixed it or whether it was the iOS 16.4 beta update. Anyways, just
as you said, it is also now fixed for me.
Now Facebook just has to fix the issue about not being able to edit any ads you
post on Market Place or other buy and sell groups. Unfortunately I am not
hopeful here since it's been like that for a long time.

Good idea to notify Apple Accessibility about this, because we should not have

turning off Hay Siri was a fix, I would be in touch with Apple to let them know

Re: Iphone se 2 cutting out on phone calls

2023-03-09 Thread Donna Casteen
Turning on wifi calling solved the cutting out during calls problem. I know
this helps, in my case, because I had to do a hard reset of my phone because I
was using an app & the phone stopped responding. Before I had a chance to turn
back on wifi calling my son called me & the call cut out about every 4 minutes.
After we hung up I turned on wifi calling. Later a person called in response to
my voicemail message & the 43 minute call didn't cut out once. I have have &
always have had Hey siri turned on.

counting steps on apple watch SE

2023-03-09 Thread Dan

Hi all,

I have one of these but am having trouble
figuring out how to get it to count my steps during the day.  Is
this possible?  If so where can I find info on how to set this
up?

Thanks.

Re: counting steps on apple watch SE

2023-03-09 Thread Mary Otten
The watch does not do a good job counting steps. Put your phone in your pocket and you’ll get much better results. Maybe, if you walk and really swing the arm that has the watch on it, that might help. But I don’t know that. I do know that if you’re on a treadmill and you hold on, you can walk for a long time and not get much of any step count or distance. That’s kind of a loser. Sent from my iPhoneOn Mar 9, 2023, at 1:55 PM, Dan wrote:

I should also have said that if you are say walking on a treadmill, and you engage a walking workout, you still won’t get step count worth a darn. But you will at least get exercise credit for it.Sent from my iPhoneOn Mar 9, 2023, at 1:55 PM, Dan wrote:

Spotify questions

2023-03-09 Thread Wayne Merritt
Hello. I've joined Spotify recently. While I am enjoying adding songs
to my Liked Songs and other playlists, I have come across an issue.
Does anyone know of a way to detect and remove duplicate songs from a
playlist? A warning does appear if I try to add a song which is
already in the playlist, but I know for a fact that there are
duplicate entries on several of my playlists. I'm pretty sure they are
songs with the same names but from different albums. I would really
like to know of a way to remove these duplicates, be they on playlists
I have created or on my Likes playlist. By the way, there was an
update put out today or late yesterday where the like button has been
replaced by an add to playlist button. When pressed, you are show a
list of all created playlists and the Likes playlist. What is
significant is playlists are now selected if the song has been added
to that list already. I wish this update came out earlier this week,
since it would have saved me a lot of time from getting that warning
of adding songs which were already in my playlist. Oh well.

Warm regards,
Wayne
