It’s on page 4 but the data is not making any sense to me.  For example, I hear 
0 to 1 1800.  What the hell does that mean anyway?

RE: doing signatures on iPad when signing up something or ensure thing

Even on my phone, the second one was hard, as I needed to do it for a job app. 
The trackpad on the computer method wouldn't go because you can't get focus to 
the box you are supposed to sign. I ended up doing explore by touch, tapping 
the power button three times to turn VO off and then tried to draw my 
signature, which probably came out worse than ever, but it let me submit. I 
really don't know a great accommodation for something like this, especially if 
one ever has to do mouse signing which really doesn't work. I hate to be one of 
the bearers of bad news, but something like DocuSign should work, but the ones 
where you need to physically sign like UPS or FedEx do these days is hard at 
best without help.

wrong, but I thought seeing AI had a light detector in the app where it could 
emit a low tone for no light or a higher tone for recognition of light being on 
I know I can do this with my Envision glasses, but I haven’t found it in the 
app. .

The main thing I find helpful when using an iPad is the Containers function 
which you can add to the rotor.  As Richard points out, the main topics, as in 
Settings, are on one side of the screen and the items under the main headings 
are on the other side.  To navigate from the items within a particular heading, 
use the Containers function.  

 

I have not used a Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad.

getting started with an iPad

Hi,

I have been using voiceOver on my iPhone for years.  In February 2024,
I need to give a "getting started with voiceOver on an iPad"
presentation at work.

I have a 7th generation iPad with a bluetooth keyboard included in a
logitech case.
I haven't really gotten comfortable with or really ever used the iPad
for much so I need a real quick tutorial on how to use an iPad and

They have buried the language

Ok, language is now buried inside the 2 finger quadruple tap, then inside a box 
to flick up and down. Is there a way to get it back simply in the rotor? What a 
complicated, time consuming pain now!

You have to be a lot more specific than this. If you are talking about signing 
digital documents where something like DocuSign is used then yes, it's usually 
fine.
If you think you can simply sign your name on the touch screen on a PDF 
document or anything like that then no, that is not possible.

It does. Hardest part is getting my brain not to think it’s a pc, something I 
had to explain to my kid. 

How do I get to what I think of as the start menu, I want to getto the place 
where I see all the icons and haven’t figured out how to do it. Tab and alt tab 
work like I’m used to.

Hello, arrow keys won't work how you're expecting them to work. And places 
where you find them not working, turn on quick navigation by pressing the left 
and right arrows together. Then you can use the up-and-down arrows, or the left 
and right arrows to navigate whatever you're wanting to navigate. I hope this 
helps you and your new MacBook experience.
