My entire music library, both hard-copy cds and apple music snags are in 
itunes. What am I to do if/when itunes goes away.

I have a friend that lives in a very rural area.  His problem is that it is 
quite a long walk from his trailer home to the mailbox and there are no paved 
roads where he is walking. The distance from his home to the mailbox is 
approximately 200 yards of unpaved roads.
 
Sometimes, he gets disoriented and is looking for an iPhone App that he can use 
to find the way to and from his home to the mailbox and back.  What are your 
recommendations based on your experiences using a navigation app for these 
purposes.  Something easy to set up and use is a priority.

I have been using blindsquare for yeare for years and find it very good for 
this purpose. You can set bread crumbs at each end of the route and blindsquare 
will talk you through the route.

The app sold for $30 or so when I bought it but I think it has gone up some 
since.

The services of iTunes are not going away, just the one single application to 
handle video, music, movie purchases, iPhone backup/restore. 
All your music  from iTunes should be available in the Apple Music app Though I 
have never used Apple products on a Windows system this is what Apple did for 
Macintosh a few years ago.

Using Voice Vista or another app that lets you mark a location might make more 
sense.

Soundscape Community is another one based on Microsoft’s Soundscape.

sense.

I’m not exactly sure how to do this with WhatsApp, but you should be able to save the photo either to your photo library or possibly directly share it. Try double tapping on the photo, and see if you could find a share button.
