I have AT and started getting this message.  Their explanation was low signal 
strenth.  It only happens when the receiving phone is not an iPhone.

Re: deleting a book from device in Audible

I had a similar problem deleting an book from within the Audible app on an 
iPod.  After you get the Delete this item showing up in the app, you double tap 
it.  This action moves you down to the book title.  You then have to move back 
up to the Delete this book and click again to actually delete the book.
