This solution didn't seem to work for me. I am trying one more thing and
we'll see.

I am getting notifications on my watch as well. I went into the watch app and
notifications on my phone. I looked at all apps that mirror notifications from
my phone and Westminster Chimes was not listed. Yet I get them.

 Hello Diane,

Here's how I have mine configured so I hope this helps.

Go into Settings on your iPhone.

 Next go to Notifications.

Scroll down to Westminster Chimes Full and double-tap.

Allow notifications is set to on. Double-tapping toggles this on/off.

Under the heading Always Deliver Immediately I have Time Sensitive
Notifications set to on, again this is a toggle item.

Under the heading Alerts I have:

 Allow On Lock Screen disabled.

 Allow in Notification Centre deselected.

 Allow As Banner disabled.

 Sounds On.

 Badges off.

Under the heading Lock Screen Appearance I have:

 Show Previews set to never.

You will need to double tap Show Previews to access its list of options,
in here double tap Never to select it.
Double tap Back to exit this screen and Back once again and you're done.

When you launch Westminster Chimes you have some options you can choose
 from.

Firstly you have to set Play Chimes to on.

Swiping right you have Chimes Style. You can choose between:

Westminster, Wittington, St. Michael's, Canterbury, Winchester and Spoken.

By default I think it's set to Westminster. Double tap on Westminster to
select a different chime style if you prefer.

Swiping right is Volume, double tap to reveal its options. Mine is set to
high. Note chime volume is relative to your device's volume.

All Day on mine is selected. If you double tap here you can select a
start and end time for your chimes. If you have all the quarters, the
half hour and hour chimes set to on there is a 12 hour limit for the
chimes to play. You can increase this by deselecting 15 and 45 minute and
it will now chime for 21 hours. If All Day is selected this limit does
 not apply.

If you continue to swipe right you have a number of options you can toggle
on/off. Under the heading Play The Quarters:

Chime The Hour, Play The Quarters, On The Hour [00], Quarter Past [:15],
Half Past [:30] Quarter Till [:45].

If I remember correctly the free version of the app does not play when the
app is not running. The full version plays when the app is exited farom
the App Switcher and when the device is locked.

 Hope this has helped you.

 Malcolm

Well, it's interesting. Because my husband is a true techie and enjoys seeing
the numbers and hoping they are going down, he tests a lot more thn 3 times a
day. I would say he tests at least 6 times a day. He had trouble motivating to
test once with the Prodigy.

Re: Free Style Libre Arrived

2021-09-25 Thread 'Nicki Keck' via VIPhone
The doctor got it for my husband before he got on insulin. He wanted to monitor
it before the insulin started so we would know how the sugars were running and
how much insulin to prescribe. He had to talk to the insurance person to
finally get it approved. It's not easy to get it if you are not on insulin.
It's possible but not easy. I think part of the reason we got it for my husband
is because it was clear he was going to be going on insulin. We monitored it,
went to the doctor, showed him the app, which he was absolutely fascinated
with, by the way, and now he is on the insulin so we shouldn't have trouble
keeping it covered. We did give them the argument of blindness and difficulty
monitoring sugars with conventional meters, but even that argument didn't work
right away.

I've seen a couple of references to September 20 for iOS, iPadOS and WatchOS
releases. I too will be hanging onto my older Apple gear, which is an iPhone 11
and Apple Watch Series 6. My upgrade date for the iPhone is February of next
year, which is nearly halfway through the September release cycle, so I may as
well wait until next Fall to update. I used to be one of those update every
year crew, and then it turned into update to last year's model each year.
Hopefully next year's Apple Watch will include the long rumored blood glucose
sensor.
My wife has an iPhone XR, and has been chomping at the bit to get her hands on
a purple iPhone 12. She doesn't care about the new bells and whistles. She just
wants a purple phone. She also has my old Series 4 watch. So aside from her
purple phone, there's no new Apple hardware for us. I am eagerly awaiting iOS
15 and trying out some of the features and enhancements. That's one new thing
that I will be getting!

Kindly,
Wayne Merritt
