Re: iPhone cases with belt clip and rubber shell - was - Re: How many folks carry their iPhone without a case?

2013-06-05 Thread Aaron Linson
Hi,
unfortunately your not going to get around the bulkiness issue when it comes to
cases with belt clips. If you want just a small case and no protection you
could just get a leather belt case. But in my experience I've found these to be
worthless and taking my phone out of the case scary's me because it's not
protected. That being said there is the lifeproof case and the otterbox
defender.

Re: Apex Will Not Pair with iPhone4

2013-05-24 Thread Aaron Linson
The very first thing you need to do before even touching terminal mode is go
into options by pressing O-chord and then c for connectivity and finally
bluetooth. Next say yes to do you wanna turn bluetooth on and wait for the apex
to say search for bluetooth devices. At this point you will go back to the main
menu by pressing dots 1-2-3-4-5-6 chord and then t for terminal and b for
bluetooth. Next on your iphone go into
settings-general-accessibility-voiceover-braille and select the apex. You'll
want to make sure bluetooth is off. You'll get a message asking you to turn the
bluetooth on and say ok. select your display and hit then press done. Your
apex should be paired with your iPhone.

Re: FourSquare Won't Link with Twitter

2013-05-24 Thread Aaron Linson
The problem is not the app you are using for twitter but the twitter setting
inside the settings app. Go into settings and find the twitter setting. double
tap this and remove your accounts that you don't want anymore. Another
suggestion is to reset your twitter password for the account you wnat to use.

Re: Justification for using Kindle vs. downloading from Bookshare

2013-05-13 Thread Aaron Linson
I am glad that Kindle made their app accessible. I'm glad that it's just
another option for me when I'm looking at books for my college degree. Most of
the books that I need are not on bookshare or any of the blindness related
bookstores. I also like the fact that I can get the books that my sighted peers
are getting at the same price. I don't mind buying books at all. I don't know
why people are always wanting stuff for free, your going to have to spend money
and I for one am grateful to do so to show my appreciation to amazon for making
their app accessible.

Why iPhone

2013-02-22 Thread Aaron Linson
Hi List,
I'm not new to the iPhone but I'm new to this list. I was curious why the
iPhone when android has been getting pretty good at accessibility? The reason
I'm asking is because my contract will be up in september and I'm torn on which
platform to go with? I own an iPad and a macbook pro as well. I'm just not sure
what to do.
Thanks for any help,
Aaron Linson

I just listened to that, the problem I have with smaller keyboards though is
the keys are to small for my hands. Is this the case with that keyboard.

2012-09-21 Thread Aaron Linson
Hi all,
My name is Aaron I just joined this list. I've got an iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and
Macbook Pro. Just wanted to introduce myself on this list. I'm going to
college to become an audio engineer. I also run my own podcast website
where I talk about adaptive and mainstream technology. the website is
signaltonoise.podbean.com. I've got a few app demos up on the site and I'm
always looking for people to come on and talk and also give suggestions for
new podcasts. I was wondering I've gone back and forth on getting a bt
keyboard for my i-devices. Sometimes I wish I had it and other times I
don't. I don't want something too small or too large but I have big hands.
What would be a good keyboard preferred flat so it can fit in a backpack.
Thanks,
Aaron

Re: Deleting podcasts.

I've been using downcast for quite some time and find that for me at least
that's the best podcast app.
