Can I put Do not Disturb in my status bar?

2021-04-17 Thread Bob Hill
Good morning all,

I have an iPhone SE 2020, running iOS 14.4.2.

It seems that in previous iOS versions, I was able to add "do not disturb" to
my status bar, so I could tell whether it was active or not.

Having a senior moment, and can't figure out how to put it in my status bar now.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Bob Hill

Re: Mac big sur: how to turn on VoiceOver to enter my password?

2021-04-15 Thread Bob Hill
Hi Ann and list,

Having just received a shiny new MacBook Pro a couple of days ago, I can tell
you that the touch ID button is the power button in the right upper corner of
the machine, at the right end of the touch bar.

Please do test this. I’ve already restarted my phone but not yet deleted

Re: Braille Screen Input Strange Noises

2019-11-05 Thread Bob Hill
Hi,

another possibility is !that you have "slide to type" se! to on.
Go to settings, general, keyboard.
Look to see if "slide to type" is set to on.
Turn it off if it is, and see if that makes a difference.

Hi Joshua,

If you have a DropBox account, you can send the zip files of the books you want
to put into the BARD app, and then export the files into the app on your phone.

Re: iPhone 6 Case Recommendations?

2014-11-03 Thread Bob Hill
When I got my 6 from Verizon, I got the Defender case. The salesperson put on a
film screen protector on the phone before putting the case on it, and that
seems to work pretty well for filling in the gap.
The phone seems pretty responsive to me.

Hi all,

I just installed the BARD app, and was happily downloading books from the

No hiccups yet with either downloading or reading.!

Re: iPod 4th generation frozen during 6.1 upgrade

2013-01-30 Thread Bob Hill
I got it sorted out.
Restarted the computer, reconnected the iPod, held power and home, then just
home, for 10 seconds. iTunes came up and told me the iPod was in recovery mode.
I had to restore the device and it's good to go.
