Hello everyone. A lot of you all should know me from other lists, as believe me, I do get around. LOL! Great Beah Boys song by the way... LOL! OK, just kidding... Anyway...

For those who are not terribly familiar with me, let me give you a little background. I'll keep this fairly brief. I am 33 years old and live in North Carolina. I've been blind all my life. Technology has always been a huge part of my life, and I have always taken great pleasure in learning new things about it. (Whether that be assistive technology or not.)

In 2012, I started a home based business called CLG Productions. The business has grown and changed a fair amount from the beginning, and I do encourage you to now go look at our web site for more information. Seeing this is not an advertising list, I'm not going to bore you all with the details here. You can read up more on your own time, if you so choose. Our web site can be found at:

I have been a mac user since April of 2011, and then only 4 months later, aquired my very first IPhone. This however said, I've been an I O S user since December of 2009, when I bought my first IPod 3GS. Don't! get me started on that! I won't go into the details, but let's just say financially, that was a huge! mistake CF which wound up backfiring in my face, if ever there be one! I've also owned several IPads over the years, and even a few Apple TV's. I currently own a mac mini, a polycarbon white macbook, a Macbook Pro, and also have my mother using a mac mini. Needless to say, we are quite an Apple household. I have one computer in this house running Windows, but I've only done that because there is an app I use for my job which isn't accessible on the mac with Voiceover. Technically, I could easily get away with just running bootcamp, but that's for another posting, and another list altogether. LOL! We'll just leave it to say that yes, I have my reasons for not doing that.

Prior to using Apple products, I've been a long time JAWS user. I've been using JFW since at least somewhere around 1999 to 2000. Actually, if you want to get really technical, I was using it before that back in the days of DOS. Awe yes, the good Accent hardware synth. God that thing was aweful in my opinion! Hey, it worked though, what can I say!

I am also a professional musician. Yes, before anyone asks, I do use ProTools on the mac. I do so on a daily basis, and am extremely proficient at using it. I'm no Kevin Reeves at it, nor Slau Haliton at it, but I definitely! know what I'm doing enough to make a really really fantastic sounding recording that would be almost, if not, commercial grade quality.

My point is, I've been around for quite some time. I've learned a lot over the years, and my goal for joining this list is not only to learn more, but also to give back to the community what I have learned over the years with such a strong passion.

I'm glad to be here, and look forward to slowly but surely getting to know each of you one by one.

Have a blessed and magnificent day!

Christopher Gilland.
