Help please want to receive individual messages not digest

Hi. I am currently in hospital and have limited Internet connectivity via
email. If anyone can tell me how to switch from digest to individual messages
via an email rather than the web I would be infinitely grateful

Accessible crossword puzzles.

2013-03-14 Thread Donna Slater
Hello. Does anyone know of any puzzles of the crosswords type which are
accessible with voice-over? I have downloaded a few free crosswords but have
not found anything usable as of yet. If not crosswords, can anyone recommend
any other really good word puzzles? Many thanks for any help.

Hi All,

When I go into the Facebook app and access my friend list, I can't see
their
names. All I get when running my finger down the screen is a series of
clicks. I have similar issues in the area where new friends are suggested.
I
can see the button to add the person but not who I'm adding.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug in the app?

Thanks,

Re: Audible app seems to be unuseable

2012-10-08 Thread Donna Slater
This is interesting as I’m also using an iPhone 4S. Basically as soon as I open
the app it just closes again. I’ve tried re-installing it and taking everything
else out of the app switcher but nothing I do seems to make any difference.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi

Just wondering if anyone is having problems with the audible app since IOS6? I
can’t get it to stay open which is really annoying as I guess I will have to go
back to syncing books via itunes. has anyone found a work around or is it just
me having problems with the app?

Many thanks.

voice brief Re: Facebook Apps and status report.

2012-10-08 Thread Donna Slater
Thanks for everyone's suggestions regarding facebook and for the info on how
to refresh status report. I've now got Voice Brief which looks quite good,
but using voiceover I can't seem to get back to the settings screen. I'm
stuck in the area where voice brief reads the status etc. Can anyone tell me
how to get back please as I need to increase the speech rate at the very
least. Also regarding voice brief I've tried to authorise it to read my
twitter account but for some reason the authorisation fails. Does anyone
have any ideas on this please?

Many thanks.

Go to settings, general, accessibility, VoiceOver, Braille.
That is the only place you can connect a braille device. yes, you have to have
blue tooth on, but don't look for the device in the regular blue tooth settings.

Please could someone help. I am trying to connect my Esys12 to my iPhone
running ios6. I went into settings and turned bluetooth on. I then turned on
the Esys display and went to the bluetooth menu and enabled bluetooth. A very
brief message came up on the Braille display saying connecting and then

searching for device, and although I waited some time, no devices seemed to be

No doubt I am doing something wrong or missing out a step, but I really can’t

Hi list
got a question regarding receiving tweets on the iPhone.
If I receive tweets on the iPhone, when I am out for example, if I then
turn my pc on later and use the qube twitter client,
will the same tweets that I received on my phone also be downloaded into
the qube?
Or once a device has downloaded tweets is that it, will the other device
connected to twitter not be able to receive the same tweets?
Just wondering as I like the idea of being able to keep my various
clients in sync with each other.
thanks for any help,
Alex.

If you want to restore, simply do it on the device alone. Go to settings,
general, reset, erase all content and settings.

Back after a long absence and is it ok to discuss drm and itunes conversions here?

2012-09-12 Thread Donna Slater
Hi

I was a member of this list for quite a while some time ago, but left due to
ongoing health problems. My health problems are still continuing so I apologise
in advance for the probable sporadic nature of my contributions to the list. I
have a query but am not sure if it’s ok to discuss here. I need a product to
remove drm from Itunes videos and allow me to burn them to dvd. All products I
have tried are not at all speech friendly. I am not intending to use this for
anything illegal, I just need access to the material on another device. So, if
this is ok to discuss here please let me know.

Many thanks for any help in advance.
