Viskey 2.0 low vision keyboard now available

2015-06-17 Thread Harri Pasanen
Hi All,

Main features setting Viskey apart from other third party keyboards and
Apple keyboard:

* Text preview with adjustable size for all text fields.
* Cursor keys, double tap to move by word.
* Good contrast and large bold font for the keys.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/viskey/id998451252

I'm the author of both Viskey and MBraille. If you know braille, you are
probably better off with the latter.
Viskey aims to be somewhat of a cross-over product, having features both
sighted and low vision users
appreciate.

Regards,

Harri

iPad doesn't have the 5 dots limitation, you can tap "for" to your hearts
content with all 6 fingers.

Re: changing language in MBraille

2013-07-22 Thread Harri Pasanen

There is an undocumented dot command for the purpose of changing the
Braille table on the fly.

To switch to German for instance, you would use

.lang de

dot command. The VoiceOver language does not change.

.lang en

brings you back to English. Some of the available language codes are da,
de, es, fi, fr, nb, pl, sv.

Danish uncontracted is currently supported, so you get all Danish
characters. The help is in English, being translated to Danish.

Re: mbraille is available

2013-06-29 Thread Harri Pasanen
Hi Chris,

If you use .sms command, MBraille will look up Gary's phone number from
contacts.
If you use .mail command, it will look up his email address.

So .sms command doesn't care about contacts who have no phone number.
Same goes for .mail, it does not care about people who have no email
address.

Hope this helps,

Harri

Robo-E, puzzle game with VoiceOver support got an update

2013-03-17 Thread Harri Pasanen
Hi,

I haven't seen Robo-E mentioned in this group. It is a puzzle game with
full VoiceOver support.
http://www.applevis.com/apps/ios/games/robo-e

The update includes more sound effects to make it clearer for VoiceOver
users that the move registered and what kind of move it was.
It also adds Game Center support and translations to French, Finnish,
Italian and Portuguese.

Full disclosure, I'm the author of Robo-E.

Happy gaming,

Harri
