DropBox accessible with work-arounds

Thanks! I know all that already, cause i use DropBox on my iPad all the time 
now; it's just that when you first install it, the first time you open it you 
have to sign in, and VoiceOver does not let you get to the sign-in page 
yourself, where you type in your username and password to sign into your 
dropbox account; that's what I'm talking about. The rest of it works fine, 
except that yesterday, I was reading a file on dropbox, and for some reason I 
made it go full screen, but now I couldn't get back out of it, and even when I 
deleted the file, it was still there on my iPad, and it stayed there every time 
I opened dropbox, so I had to delete dropbox on my iPad and then re-install it, 
and then put the file back, so now I know for next time I can't make things 
full screen or I won't be able to access the menus to go back or to close it 
anymore, unless there's a way to close it on the iPad that I just don't know 
about; I'm a new iPad user, so i'm still learning.
Anyhow, yes, dropbox is very accessible, except (at least on my iPad), when you 
open it the first time after you install it you need help getting to where you 
type in your username and password so you can sign into your account.

Flexy--Unable to get past the update alert message

Hi, all! I have that same problem with my flexy; it asks me to update it, but 
then when I click on that, it goes to the app-store, where the only choice I 
can pick is to open it, and then when I click the open button, it just brings 
me back to that same alert.
Speaking of things you can't get past, I've noticed that when you use DropBox 
on the iPad, (when you first install it, at least), it brings you to the 
welcome page, and there's  something that says to learn more swipe, and if you 
already have an account sign in, but when you double-tap it, it does absolutely 
nothing, and I haven't found anything you can do about it, except get sighted 
help, turn VoiceOver off, and get them to click on the sign in thing, and then 
turn VoiceOver back on, and then it'll let you go to the sign in page where you 
type in your email and password and can sign in like normal. Also, while you're 
in DropBox at that welcome page, you cannot click the home-button three times 
to turn voiceOver off; you have to either go to the home-screen, turn voiceover 
off there and get the sighted person to access Dropbox and get you to the 
sign-in page, or else hold down the home-button and tell seri to turn voiceOver 
off, get the sighted person to get you to the sign in page, and then tell seri 
to turn voiceover back on; either way, it's a huge hassle. I've actually gotten 
a sighted person to watch me figure it out, and she could see the sign-in page 
on DropBox there, but there was no way for me to get to it with voiceover on my 
own. Anyhow, I hope there are some DropBox people on this list because I think 
this should be fixed; everything else works fine on Dropbox. Also, this is with 
the latest iPad, so I don't know what it does with my iPhone four. I might try 
it just to see what happens; I think I remember trying it before, and I never 
had problems with it on the iPhone 4. Does anyone else have this problem?

Syncing iPad with iTunes library

Hi, all! This morning i put the apps on my iPad into folders, and now when i 
try to sync it with iTunes, it just says that the iPad could not be synced 
because the installed apps on the iPad could not be determined. Then when I 
click ok on that,  another dialog shows up that says the iPad could not be 
synced because an internal error occurred. Is this happening because i put the 
apps in folders? It works on my iPhone 4, so why won't it work on the iPad 
aire? Can someone please tell me what to do so I don't have to remove 
everything from all the folders I made, or else can someone tell me why it 
isn't working now? This is very annoying, as I spent a lot of time trying to 
get the apps into folders so that when I actually want to find my apps I know 
where they are without flipping through four or five pages of stuff on my iPad, 
and now if I have to take them all back out just to sync my device, I spent all 
that time for nothing. Ugh! Is someone else having this problem too, and what 
did you do about it if you've solved it?

iWorks sweet for free on i-devices

Hi, all!
I thought I heard something about this awhile ago but I didn't listen to it 
closely because I didn't think I was getting an iPad then, but I thought I 
heard something about pages and numbers and all that for free. Is there a way 
to get that for my iPad when it comes? Can someone email me and tell me the 
steps how to get it if it's possible?

DoItWrite 1.0 for iPhone from Draconis Entertainment

Hi all! Does anyone know if the DoItWrite thing works for iPads as well as the 
iPhone?
I just purchased the new iPad Aire, (though it hasn't arrived yet), and assumed 
that it's still an IOs device, so that anyhting that works on my iphone will 
work on the iPad as well. Am I correct? I looked in the iTunes store, but it 
said somehting about iPhones and there was no heading for anything that had to 
do with iPads. I just wondered if that's because it won't work on my iPad.

iPhone 4 Screw Up With The New IOs

Hi! Just to let you know, i did try that 30 seconds holding down the power and 
home buttons together thing, and it didn't work.
Then I got the idea that iCloud must be a website somewhere on the internet. I 
had to get sighted help, but I got a friend to look at it, and we found a way 
to erase my phone and restore it using iCloud, and now it works fine, even with 
the new update, and the whole pass-code thing, and even the iCloud keychain. I 
do think they should make the iCloud website more accessible though, but 
nevertheless, we got my phone to work.

Hi! Try finding the radio button that you want to uncheck on the screen of your 
iPhone, and then double-tapp it. Let's say it's a yes or no radio button. You'd 
find the button and double tap it, and it might just say yes radio button or no 
radio button if it is not checked, and if it is, it'll probably say yes radio 
button checked or no radio button checked. My guess is though that is it's a 
yes or no button, or one of those things where you have to choose to agree or 
disagree to the license agreement when you install stuff or all that, you will 
have to check whichever button to uncheck the one that isn't already checked. 
Of course if you select the disagree or decline button you can't install the 
thing, in which case you'll have to select the agree or accept button to 
uncheck the disagree or decline buttons. There. Does that make sense? Usually 
you can double tap to uncheck or check a radio button, but in some cases like 
the license agreement example, you have to select another button to uncheck the 
one you want.

iPhone Four screw-UP with the New IoS

Hi, all!
I'm a new subscriber to ViPhone, but I do subscribe to Mac Vissionarries, so 
you may know of me from there. I installed the new IOS update 7.0.3 on my 
iPhone 4, and it had this new thing called key-chain on iCloud that would save 
all my credit card information and passwords on my iPhone and stuff, but I had 
to make a pass-code in order to do this. I clicked to make the pass-code, and 
when I finally got that done, it took me through the rest of the steps as 
usual. Now though, I have to use this pass-code to get into my phone, and when 
I type it in, it just says "You have typed in the wrong pass-code", and won't 
let me get into my phone. I told a friend about this, and he said to restore 
the phone using iTunes, which I did, but iTunes won't let me restore it unless 
the "Find My iPhone" feature is turned off in my iCloud settings on my phone, 
which of course i have to get into my phone to do, which I can't do because I 
can't get into my phone. I have heard that other users have also had this bug, 
but I have also heard of two people who said they don't have this problem with 
their iPhones. What can I do?
I am a blind user, so I depend on my phone for everything, including texting 
people when I can't find them. Can someone please help?

All of a sudden this morning, my keyboard would no longer work with my IPhone. 
It's no fault of the keyboards, because I tried two of them, and none would 
work. Is there a setting I might have messed up?

Some time ago, I downloaded the ap dictation, but still haven't managed to 
figure out how it works. There is a click and dictate button all right, but 
after I've dictated what I want, what do I do to make it appear on twitter or 
facebook or wherever I might want it. Sorry for sounding stupid, but it is a

Thanks for the answer! I've had real trouble finding a bluetooth keyboard in my 
part of Sweden, and when asking if an IPad Keyboard would work just as well, 
none of the shop assistants knew the answer. But I'm glad to hear that a 
keyboard for an IPad works just as well, even if it's hugity big in comparison.

  I'm not Ricardo, but my IOGear multi-link bluetooth keyboard can switch 
between six devices. All of them can be on at the same time and one switches 
between them by using the fn key and the corresponding number (1-6). But of 
course when buying a keyboard one needs to look at the key size and keyboard 
layout and whatever else one wants in a keyboard. I really like my IOGear; in 
fact I have one that sits on my desk and one that travels in my purse and they 
are both set up the same way to access all my devices, but some might not like 
the layout or key size or something.

like to have a special ringtone for  each one of my contacts. With my old phone 
I had it set so that I knew exactly who called. Is this possible with the

According to an article in the Swedish macworld magazine it's free.
Go into the app stor on your phone, double tap the tab that says "sök", then 
in the search field that appears at the top of the screen type "dragon

Oh yes, I have been in the same situation with a car gps, where the cab 
driver has driven in circles. So that isn't an error, exclusively made by 
IPhones. I haven't tried mine out yet, and if it wasn't for all that yucky 
white stuff outside, I would try it this very day.

That is a perfect example of why one should never depend on GPS systems
exclusively.
If you were going somewhere you had never been before, you would have
followed it the wrong way until you either circled back or had to call
someone to find out the right way.
This problem is not only on iPhones, but in car GPS systems as well.
You may have simply lost enough satellites that the GPS could not get a 
fix

on your actual position.
Unfortunately, the iPhone GPS apps do not tell you about the number of
satellites or the estimated accuracy, where the designated blindness GPS
systems do.

No, it isn't just you. I've noticed that with my IPhone keyboard. I'm trying to 
find my way around it, but haven't got there yet.

Don't know what the custom is on this list, but I thought I'd at least pop in 
and say Hello. My name is Helena Ahlgren, Helena Tull that was, I live in the 
north of Sweden, and have just got my first IPhone, which I'm very excited 
about.
