Re: Tracking steps on iPhone

2022-10-08 Thread Mac Cole
Are use the Health app every day when I go walking. When I’m done I ask Siri to
open Health and it opens up to the summary page if you scroll down from summary
page to favorites and then continue to scroll down it will tell you flights
climbed, steps and walking and running distance.

Re: Can you block text messages?

2020-02-24 Thread Georgie Mac
This process worked for me. I had sighted help and they said this is the
process. Blocking the person should also block the text and massages. So
far no more of those silly things on my phone. At least from the blocked
ones. My friend says they are fishing and looking for responses and if i
am unsure, just repeat he process. These people are relentless and may try
it again with another number just like when we all were getting those dumb
ass IRS calls threatening jail if we didn't pay. Hoping you have luck.

Sims cards

2020-02-14 Thread Georgie Mac
Is is possible that the I phone sims card would be interchangeable with,
lets say a Samsung phone? If not is there anyway that you can get
information from the i phone to the Samsung without a whole hell of lot of
work? Has any one heard that I phone is coming out with the I phone 9? Is
this possible and why? What would be so important about going back instead
of forward? This is confusing and a little strange even for Apple! Georgi

Re: Phone number for Uber?

2020-02-11 Thread Georgie Mac
So it is directed to the 65 and above? I wouldn't qualify for that myself
but I am sure that there are many that would be interested in knowing that
bit of information. I use uber all the time and luckily i haven't had any
issues. This conversation is so enlightening. I am curious for such a
majorly big business how is it they stay in business if they don't make it
easy for their customers to handle their their disputes in a timely
manner?

Re: Phone number for Uber?

2020-02-10 Thread Georgie Mac
There isn't a number per say. You have to contact them via their site for
any dispute. I have never received any number for customer service,
ever! This I always found was wrong. As a passenger this should be
provided to all its customers but is not. I wish you luck . I think there
should be a better way and maybe it's time we did something about it. As a
fellow rider I am going to keep trying to see if I can help rectify this.
If I should find any number I will post. Georgi

Re: Adjusting the Speaking Rate of VoiceOver

2014-07-08 Thread Mac
Hey Flor,

It kind of a flicking motion that you use. If you flick up kind of like your
snapping your fingers and flick down the same way you should be able to control
the rate. Don't get frustrated it took me a while to to get used to it.

 Hi,

This should be a straightforward thing. How do I adjust the Speech Rate of
VoiceOver? If I do it in Settings | General | Accessibility | Voiceover, by
double-tapping on Speaking Rate, Adjustable, and then swipe up or down with
one finger to adjust the value, all that happens then is that I run into the
other VoiceOver settings for Sound Effects, Braille, this and that, but I can
only slightly adjust the speech rate. (At the moment I am hovering at about
51%. I'd like to adjust that downward eventually to maybe about 11%.) Am
using iOS7.1.2 or the latest iOS update on iPhone 5S. I mostly use braille,
but needed to see if I could help a situation where braille reading/scrolling
was a bit too slow in a particular newspaper app.)
 TIA for assistance.

Hey Randy,

How are the buttons laid out on the Sirius app? I am not sure what they all do.

At the bottom of the SiriusXM app there is a row of buttons. I select one of

When you want to show all that happends on your iPhone on your flatscreen
to, you can set that up by the airplay and airplay sync setting in your app
 choser.
maybe already everyone knows this, so then you can del this message, but if
 not smile…

Go to the app choser, then to page 2 and 3.
put on airplay and sync airplay.
Now all that is to hear and see on your iPhone, will all be streamd to your
 soundsystem and flatscreen.
Another great reason to get yourself an apple tv.
