Can not download new apps from the app store

2013-09-24 Thread Neesie
Hello, I have a strange issue. If I go in to the app store and search for a
new app I get a message that says can not connect to the app store. How ever
I can get updates to apps that are already installed on my Ipod touch 5. I
also can download a new app if someone sends me a link to it in an eye
message. Is anyone else having this problem and does anybody have any
suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks lots.
Neesie

Hi Suzanne,

Instructions can be generic or detailed. I can say making a ringtone in
iTunes is so easy:
select the 40 seconds of a song you want, create an M4A version of that part
of the song, rename it and import to your library then sync.
Of course for somebody who has never done this these instructions are pretty
useless since they don't explain how you select the 40 seconds of the song
you want, how you create an M4A version of that, what's involved in renaming
that file and to what you have to rename it to and lastly on how to best get
it into your tones library.

So, now to your issue. Before I can explain in detail how you might do this,
I have some questions:

1. Do you sync your phone and your daughter's iPad Mini to a computer?
2. If so, do you use the same computer to sync them to?
3. If you sync them to the same computer, is it a Mac or a PC, if PC which
version of Windows/iTunes?
4. If it's a PC, do you have different Windows sign-ins or do you use the
same user name and password?

Maybe you can answer these, you can just put your answers underneath each
question in your reply. If you wish email me directly and I'll help you
off-list.

Happy New Year,
Sieghard

Alan, you make it sound so easy in general terms, but what I don't
understand is the details of how to do that in iTunes, i.e. what boxes to
check, etc.

You will need iTunes and both devices will need to be able to sync with that

account. You can move out the songs, books, movies etc that you don't want
her to have and then sync her device. The new stuff will go onto her
device. Then just copy all the stuff you didn't want her to have back to
iTunes and sync your device again and your done.

Alan
