I believe apple is migrating customers from @ me to @ icloud .com. After
receiving the same message and accepting the new email address, my @me account

RE: ios 6 and hq question

2012-09-23 Thread Ng Choon Hwee
I have noticed that in order to get the hq voice in IOS 6, the phone's
default language and the language used by Siri must be the same. After
making sure that compact voice is off and the language settingsfor the phone
and Siri are the same, go to the language rotor and cycle through the
languages until you hear your default language. You should hear the hq
voice. It works that way on my 4 s.

Hi list,

So, I've got my phone plugged into my pc, and when I go into voiceover it
shows there is now a compact voice. When I turn the compact voice to off,
the voice doesn't change. Could it be that it's still not quite downloaded
yet?

Hi there,

When I type a punctuation mark other than a period and then I
want to add a blank line, I swipe to the right and hold. It then
adds a period and then a new line. How to I add a new line
without adding the period since I've already used a different
punctuation mark?

Thank you,

Kim

RE: New Bluetooth app

2012-04-17 Thread Ng Choon Hwee
If that is the case then I really shouldn't worry about leaving all the
radios on the phone on but then, why does Apple advise its customers to turn
them off to conserve battery? Frankly, I would love to leave them on and
then forget about it. Now if there was an app like Best Profile in the
Symbian OS which could toggle settings on and off, I wouldn't mind it.

Hello,

The iPhone has one of the best bluetooth systems in the business. When you
do not have a bluetooth device connected, almost no power is used. The same
is true for wifi and 3g.

Hi all. Earlier I posted that I thought there was a way to use Safari to
make shortcuts to toggle things like Air Plane mode, Bluetooth, ETC, and
I found it. The link below explains this. Please note that I have not
actually tried this myself since my phone is jailbroken and I already
have other means of toggling things, but this is a good alternative for
those who may not get the Bluetooth On Off app or those who want to
toggle other things. The link is kind of long so watch the wrapping.
