RE: Pair Braille Sense U2 with iPhone

2016-04-21 Thread Tracy Smith
Hello Abdullah

Your friend needs to go into Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, and go to
Braille devices. I can't remember the exact route, as I don't have an iPhone
anymore, but it should be right. Then from there you can search for and pair
with the display, and it will work just fine.

Subject: Pair Braille Sense U2 with iPhone

Hello,

Someone asked me to check into this. He is having trouble pairing his Braille
Sense U2 with his iPhone 5S. When he tries to pair it, nothing happens. He
tries to use the Braille Sense, but nothing happens on the phone.

Does anyone have an idea of what might need to be done to fix this? Is there a
particular setting to change, or something else to try?

Thanks,
Abdullah

RE: Status of braille support in 8.1.1.

2014-11-20 Thread Tracy Smith
Hi All

Please refresh my memory: I did it once, but now forgot.
How do you turn automatic translation on or off?
I also prefer it turned off, but sometimes when typing passwords, it causes the
password to be incorrect, because of the extra space you have to type.

Hi Eileen. I didn't know that you could use the Apex thumb keys to move from
link to link, I'll have to try that one. As for the 3-6 chord, that seems to
work just fine. I used that chord to move from the beginning to the end of the
message body as I write this, and I was able to bounce out of the message body
to the top rthe screen at the Cancel button using a 1-2-3 chord, then to the
bottom of the screen using a 4-5-6 chord. So thanks for the tip; it helped a
lot.

if anybody here is facing the same issue, can contact the whatsapp support

also, why this app will crash with voice over? is it a strange issue or voice

Hi,
I installed this program on Win7 with the latest JFW but find it totally
inaccessible with no menu or right-click options.
Maybe the mac version (if there is one) will be more friendly.

The program is called iFunbox and works on a Windows computer. I'm not sure
if there's a Mac version, though. I plan to check this out. I have a few
BARD books on my iPhone, with lots of bookmarks, and I'd hate to lose them.
I've been hearing contradictory information as to whether BARD
books/bookmarks are backed up, even with an encripted backup, so I wanted to
give this a shot. It doesn't require jailbreaking, at least not for most
things, as far as I've been able to gather.

Thanks,

RE: iDevice holder

Subject: iDevice holder

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a type of small discreet holder where I
can place my iPod Touch when I'm not carrying it?

For example, when I'm in the kitchen busy cooking, cleaning, washing,
whatever, I like placing my iDevice away from me so I don't accidentally
destroy it. Placing it away from me also makes it easier to listen to audio
as the speaker isn't muffled the times it is in my pocket. The problem is
that at times I forget where I have placed it.

Like I've said, I can simply place the iDevice on a counter, but I've
forgotten it was on the counter and luckily nothing serious has happened so
far when knocking it off of the counter. I do have to admit that I once
carried lots of stuff from one room to another so placed my iPod touch in my
back pocket thinking I could not possibly forget it, but as soon as someone
engaged me in conversation, I forgot I had the thing in my pocket and I went
to sit down. luckily I quickly remembered the device was in my back pocket
and quickly got up to check for a cracked screen and alike. Smile.

I guess I'm asking if anyone here has purchased or knows of a type of case
one can stick to the side of a refrigerator or cabinet which can hold and
iPhone or iPod touch. I'd also like to stick one of these to my bed frame
and alike for equally quick access to my iDevice. I've tried running a
search on Amazon.com, but all I've found was those cases used to place GPS
devices on car windshields.

Would appreciate any ideas the list can provide.

Sorry for the long post, Smile.

Joseph the free tech guy!

You can find out how and get the software needed from www.evasi0n.com.
I guess most of the apps and tweaks I get are to circumvent iTunes, which I

Once jailbroken, iTunes and app store and everything still works fine. You
get another app store, Cydia, where you can download jailbreak apps and

My favourite tweaks are AnyRing, which lets you use any music file as a

AirBlue Sharing which fixes one of my main irks with iOS: To be able to send

Bridge, which allows you to put downloaded files straight into your iTunes

RE: Some questions about the bbm app

2014-05-26 Thread Tracy Smith
Hi

It's hit and miss, but if I'm in a chats window, and I receive a new invite,
the received invitations button is just above the most recent chat on the
top of the screen.

Subject: Some questions about the bbm app

Hi,

I sometimes use the bbm app since I have several friends who use bbm.

I am able to see the chats window, the contacts window, but not the new
friend requests. The only other option is groups and updates.

How do I see all the other features?
