Is anybody here using the latest Logitech Folio case for the iPad Air? I have some questions

2014-07-13 Thread Victor Tsaran
Curious if anybody here is using the latest Logitech folio case for iPad
Air? I have the following questions:

After covering the case and the screen appears to be locked, it will unlock
itself if you turn the iPad around. Have you experienced the same or is my
case faulty?

On the prior version of the Logitech keyboard for iPad Air I had more
shortcut keys, e.g. FN+F4 would open the task launcher, etc. Anybody knows
why I do not have these with the Folio case anymore?
Also, from the "it would be nice if" department... They've decided to move
the control key to the right of the keyboard. Do you think there is a way
to remap those keys?

Thanks for any answers.
Best,
Victor

Hi,
This is so funny. I was just browsing this list using the mobile version of
Google Groups and stumbled upon exactly the same problem.
I did figure out how to reply to the message thread you are reading, but not
how to post the new one.

Let me know what you find out.

RE: Sonos multi-room Wireless music system was: Bluetooth speakers

2014-07-13 Thread Victor Tsaran
Hi,
I am also an avid user of Sonos products.
1. Yes, their Mac client is very minimally accessible with VoiceOver and I
opened a support ticket to that end. I think more users need to write to Sonos
to let them know we are out there and that we want the software to be
accessible across all platforms.
2. The recently-updated app for iOS is now beautifully accessible. By
"beautifully" I really mean what I say. You cannot mis the fact that the
accessibility was treated with care and not just as an patching activity.
3. Just to make sure you are aware, the Spotify account will have to be premium
in order to be usable with Sonos. One huge limitation, presented by Spotify, is
that the "radio" feature will not work even if you have a premium account.

If you want to give Sonos a try but not sure if you want to spend the money,
they have a 45-day return policy, so you can always ship it back if you don't
think this satisfies your needs.

Best,
Victor

Re: Automatic iOS 7 download and space considerations

2013-10-04 Thread Victor Tsaran
>From Apple's point of view, auto-update makes a great deal of sense.
1. They can quickly patch security holes that are introduced by hackers.
2. They can make sure your system always stays up-to-date.
Google has been employing similar technique in their Chrome browser and
users learned to trust and rely on this methodology.

So, I don't think the auto-update is as evil as many try to portray it.

Just my two cents.

Re: Using an iOS Device for processing credit card tranasactions

2012-11-30 Thread Victor Tsaran
Unfortunately you cannot use splitters for this as the headphone jack is
sending audible signals which will hurt your ears badly.
I believe you can only use devices which do not rely on headphone jack,
either bluetooth-based on something plugs into a dock connector.

A warning about iPhone cameras

2012-07-20 Thread Victor Tsaran
Hello all,
If you find that your iPhone camera doesn't scan well or doesn't recognize bar
codes, you may want to ask your sighted friend to see if your camera view is
not clouded by anything, either outside or inside the back-cover.
I just had a similar experience and had to go to the closest Apple store to get
the back-cover replaced.

Just thought I'd mention it here in case it's useful.
Best,
Victor

Hi,
At the moment you will need sighted assistance to bypass the initial
screen. I know for a fact that they are working on it and the issue will be
fixed in one of the near-future updates.

Latest update to Shazam app on older phones

2012-04-24 Thread Victor Tsaran
Hey guys,
I am in touch with an iPhone developer from Shazam.
Can someone please verify that the latest update to this app still has the
problems of muting audio on older phones? I tried this on iPhone 4S and iPod 4G
and see no problems whatsoever.

Also, all and any accessibility-related feedback would be welcome as well.
