The only way I know of to accomplish what you want is to import the M4R
file into GarageBand on your iPhone. Then you can share it as a ringtone
and it will show up in your ringers and alerts. That is the only way I
have been able to put M for our files into my ringtones and alerts.

Hi, Vicky,
#1. When Clubhouse is open, and you see the thing about Twitter, turn screen
recognition on.
#2. Next, swipe down to find the button after the part that asks you to get the
profile from Twitter.
You should be able to do it from there.

Hi all,
before IOS 14.4 when I received an iMessage not sure about texts if there was a
photo attached VO would mostly say what was in the picture. Or at least have a
guess! Since 14.4 VO just says image.
Anybody else noticed this?

Hi lists,

I’m taking a look at bone conduction headphones as an option to listen while
I’m out walking,

I’ve been looking at the after shockz treks air

And the new After shockz aeropex

But as I’m not able to check the quality of sound I thought I’d see what people
who have used these things, what they think of the sound quality,

I’m interested in things such as how much vibration is there against your cheek,

Is the base high or low?

And do they have good volume or are they normally pretty quiet at a half volume
point?

And what type of battery life are people getting out of these devices?

Cheers for any information folks might have.

Cheers.

I thought I had been hearing people say that the Hulu app has become much more
accessible. I signed up for the deal they had over the last long weekend, but I
am not finding it to be particularly accessible. If I open the app, I am in the
home tab by default. If I double tap on TV shows, everything that comes up on
the TV show screen has no label. You have two choices for each show, details
and more options. But the title of the show is never mentioned. If that’s
someone’s idea of Accessibility, it’s not mine. What am I missing? That’s an
absolute showstopper. I’m not going to double tap on every stupid thing on the
screen just to try defined out what shows are available. That’s ridiculous.

I also have one and while I wish the battery life was just a bit better and the
on/off slider switch wasn't so cheap, I really like it for wireless use with
the USB dongle and my laptop.

I don't like big over-the-ear type headsets and no matter how good, any
Bluetooth headset (and keyboard) has a small lag and I find myself being just
too fast on the computer to put up with it.

This leaves the Bluetooth connection of the H800 free for my iPhone or Amazon
Echo Dot and the same goes for my keyboard except that it can be paired with up
to 3 devices so in addition to using it with the USB dongle for my laptop I can
use it for my iPhone and my Apple Tv.

Please disregard my last email. I went to hidden purchases, and there it was!
Thank you so much for your help!

Unfortunately, unless you have the receipt, you will need to buy the app again.
I‘m in a similar situation. Try going to app store, Today, My account, tap on
your name/iTunes ID, scroll down to view purchase history & tap. Here you can
search for the purchase receipt. If you exit this page & scroll down to hidden
purchases, you can search purchased apps that were hidden. If you used a
different apple ID you will need to login to that ID to view receipts & hidden
apps. Good luck.

First, is it the same Apple ID?

If you purchased it, after opening the purchased apps screen, double tap on My
Purchases.

Then, double tap on Not on this iPhone.

Then, double tap on the search field.

Enter the name of the app, or the manufacturer.

Spelling counts of course.

If you still don’t find it, You may need to call Apple and see if they can
track it down from your Apple ID.

RE: Moderate and minor bugs plus Accessibility improvements from Applevis.com

2020-09-17 Thread jasmine.kotsay
My issue was that after turning the voiceover recognition, and everything that
goes with it, on, it was not easy to navigate my phone, such as messages or
Whatsapp. I even had a hard time turning things on and off in settings. I
finally got Voiceover recognition off and restarted my phone, and it seems to
be fine.

As I mentioned previously, in my case, I did restart the phone to get rid of
whatever funkiness was still going on after disabling the screen recognition
feature. This was the only way I could get the apps working as before.
It looks like I'm not the only one dealing with the really annoying VO element
bug either.
https://www.applevis.com/forum/ios-ipados/severe-voiceover-bug-when-navigating-html-content
I reached out to Apple accessibility regarding the same. They requested I
provide a screen recording as well as system log of the event. Which I did.
Same issue. When trying to upload both items to my Google Drive so I could
share it with them, VO got stuck after selecting Drive in the sharesheet. I
needed my sighted wife's help to complete the process both times. She said that
it looked like VO was getting stuck no matter how much I flicked and swiped.
Goes without saying, if others are experiencing the same issue. Reach out to
Apple to let them know. This is proving to be a rather annoying and disruptive
bug.

For what it's worth, I think it is always a good idea to restart one's phone
after an update, whether it's a minor or major update, to insure there's no
issues or glitches. Sorry you've had a bad go of it.
Hopefully 14.1 will resolve some of your issues, or you can get back to 13.7
until Apple puts out fixes.

RE: Changing Languages

2020-08-20 Thread jasmine.kotsay
Hi.

The only thing I can suggest, and someone can correct me if I am wrong, to have
her hook it up to a computer and change it that way, or do a hard reset somehow.

Hi All,

An acquaintance has received a new SE 2020 iPhone, but Voiceover is set to a
foreign language. How can she switch the language to English when she can't
understand what the phone is saying?! All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
much.

Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool. Go dodgers!
