'Read all' keyboard command and general tips for iBooks on the Mac

2016-01-29 Thread Robin Christopherson
Dear listers

I had a dabble using iBooks on the Mac and it seems like it’s hit and miss
about keeping your place when reading. I know the two finger downward swipe on
the trackpad to start reading from current position but I’m not sure if this is
the best way of starting and stopping reading as it seems like I sometimes
started from the top of the page again after pausing. Is it better to do a
keystroke instead and if so what is it as it doesn’t appear to be listed in the
commands menu? If there is one does this keystroke also work in iOS?

Also is there a setting in the VO manager I need to have set to ensure I pick
up where I left off? I do have it to track focus with the VO cursor.

Lastly, any other tips about how to use iBooks on both the Mac and iOS would be
much appreciated. Now we have the fantastic Ava as an option on the Mac and the
lovely British Siri lady for a voice on iOS listening to ebooks is now a very
pleasant experience.

Thanks, Robin.
