If I have to wait a while for apple, I just put on a book and listen
to that while I wait.

What a relief. I do use page 3, have two extra apps, but evidently, nothing

RE: 14 Stuff

2020-09-26 Thread Carolyn
Usually late Eastern Time is a good time to call, so they must be really
jammed.

Regardless if they fix it all, I still am perplexed about it changing my Homne
Page, which I have worked so hard to taylor to my taste. From what I heard, I
don't understand it, have not a clue of how to find or open apps.

Happy Friday to all!

My iPhone 8 is being very strange. I will answer a question and note some
“bugs” and issues I’ve never had until 14.

First, when I reply to a text read in the messaging app, I simply swipe right
to the edit box. I do a 1 finger double tap and it opens. I don’t get the weird
repeating letters.

When I downloaded and installed 14 last week and when I downloaded and
installed yesterday’s update, my phone came up on the screen as if I powered on
for the first time. I had to call Apple for help both times. Why is my phone
doing that? Apple advisors are stressed out to the max I’m sure. I was on hold
over an hour yesterday late evening eastern time.

When I dictate a message, there are times my phone seems to be using Siri as I
hear the double tone. That malady is as of installing 14. Sometimes, I hear the
single tone when dictating. I guess my texts are okay when delivered. Haven’t
heard any complaints! And yes, I do the 2 finger double tap to start and stop
dictation. Anyone have that experience besides me?

My phone continues to jump around after yesterday’s install. I’m thinking we
will have several beg fixing updates. My mother used to say, “Rome wasn’t built
in a day” in her beautiful Swedish accent.

Anne

I have a problem, also.  First I use hearing aids and like my phone to stream through them.  When I make or receive a phone call,  I like voiceover to be louder than everything else in case I have to press a key or such..  At the moment the only way I can accomplish this is to go to the roter   and audio destination and swipe it until default audio route is spoken.  Then the volume of voiceover increases.  It used to increase automatically, but not now.  Been working with apple for a couple days on this without resolution.  Just wondered if anyone else had this issue with resolution.Marvin Kotler Sent from Mail for Windows 10 From: Anne WestSent: Friday, September 25, 2020 12:16 PMTo: viphone@googlegroups.comSubject: 14 Stuff Happy Friday to all! My iPhone 8 is being very strange. 14 Stuff

2020-09-25 Thread Anne West
Happy Friday to all!

My iPhone 8 is being very strange. I will answer a question and note some
"bugs" and issues I've never had until 14.

First, when I reply to a text read in the messaging app, I simply swipe
right to the edit box. I do a 1 finger double tap and it opens. I don't get
the weird repeating letters.

When I downloaded and installed 14 last week and when I downloaded and
installed yesterday's update, my phone came up on the screen as if I powered
on for the first time. I had to call Apple for help both times. Why is my
phone doing that? Apple advisors are stressed out to the max I'm sure. I was
on hold over an hour yesterday late evening eastern time.

When I dictate a message, there are times my phone seems to be using Siri as
I hear the double tone. That malady is as of installing 14. Sometimes, I
hear the single tone when dictating. I guess my texts are okay when
delivered. Haven't heard any complaints! And yes, I do the 2 finger double
tap to start and stop dictation. Anyone have that experience besides me?

My phone continues to jump around after yesterday's install. I'm thinking we
will have several beg fixing updates. My mother used to say, "Rome wasn't
built in a day" in her beautiful Swedish accent.

Anne
