A Quick Questions About Removing Apps from Phone Via iTunes

2014-10-07 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Listers,

Last night, I decided to remove some rarely, if never used apps from my
phone. Of course, I can find the app on the device, itself, double-tap and
hold, then select to delete but I wanted to delete them via iTunes from one
screen.

So, as usual, I attached the phone to my computer, selected it in the
soon-to-be-defunct Sources Pane, then selected the Apps tab near the center
of the screen, in iTunes of course.

Following these steps leaves me at a place where I can see every single app
I've ever purchased, including those currently installed on the phone. I
can't be certain but, during the past 5 years or so, I have downloaded over
500 apps.

As you can guess, going through the list listening for the Remove or Install
tag, indicating the current status of the app with regard to being on the
phone can take quite some time.

So, I was wondering, is there a way to have this list only display those
apps currently installed on the phone? This would make it oh so much easier
to decide which to delete.

Thank you,

Mark

Hi Mark I look through iTunes went to sources and select my iPhone went to apps
and then went to the apps table but I see all my apps not just apps that are
currently installed on the phone and then I went to sort by popup menu but
all I see is kind catagory name and size.
Then I went to sources and then chose apps and then chose iPhone-iPod touch and
then still It sound's like all of the apps including the ones installed are
there in the apps table.

RE: A Quick Questions About Removing Apps from Phone Via iTunes

2014-10-07 Thread Anthony Vece
Check the box for apps.

And, tab until you get to the apps list.

Uncheck the apps. You do not want on your phone and then, sync.
