My "Recents" on my old 5 and my current 6S have 100 entries. Each entry may refer to multiple incoming and outgoing calls. I just always thought 100 was the iPhone default because i sure didn't set anything. Have fun! You can't, I've been an iPhone user for a pretty long time and have been on this list for about as long, but never have I found such a setting anywhere or heard about it before. I guess one can use the 3-finger single tap gesture to hear what row one is on in the recents list and it will also give you the total number of rows, this would be the easiest way I can think of to find out how many rows/entries there are. Maybe 200 is the upper limit, I sometimes do a fair number of calls but it would probably still take me a month to get to that number before I can check whether it stops at 200 or not. RE: A strange concept of what constituteS * recen
Hi Jewel, I guess this is just terminology, maybe Apple should call it "History" or "Call Log", but basically Recents shows all incoming and outgoing calls and they stay in there forever unless you clear it occasionally. Near the top are two tabs where you can select to display either "All" calls or only "Missed" calls. I have long been hoping for Apple to add some more filters here since it would be nice if I could display only incoming calls or only outgoing calls or, for that matter, maybe I want to see just Facetime calls or calls to a particular area code or phone number/person. The latter could be achieved by simply adding a search box at the top. Anyhow, you can easily delete calls from the recent call list. You can delete individual calls simply by swiping down or up with one finger since the action rotor is available here and then double tap or you can tap on "Edit" at the top right and then "Clear All" at the top left. That will place you into an edit dialog for the new or existing contact.
