Accessible sleep tracker for the Apple Watch.
Even though the Apple Watch has reached series 4, it still does not have its own in built sleep tracker. Tracking your sleep I’m getting full details about quality, deep sleep period, REM sleep et cetera is now a very essential component of staying healthy. Heart rate variability is also another important component of staying healthy. All this is given by sleep tracking software’s and applications. Unfortunately Apple has not used to have one of its own and therefore we have to look at other Wenders. I have tried three or four applications and none of them is VoiceOver friendly. Does anyone know of any sleep tracker which is of a good quality, gives automatic sleep recording and is VoiceOver friendly? Hi Anna, The original questioner Mentioned heart rate variability as well as sleep tracking. Does this sleep plus plus also let you track heart rate variability? Or is there another way to do that on the watch? I kind of thought maybe that new ECG functionality would also do that. Re: Accessible sleep tracker for the Apple Watch.
I’ve missed part of this thread so, it might have been brought up. However, one of the better sleep programs out there that I have found come to work with the watch, it’s called sleep watch. They have recently updated things so that all of it it’s voiceover accessible. You do have to wear it, and the initial set up takes you a few minutes. Because it asks you if it can go to your health program, and if you want notifications, and what do you want sleeptime just done at night or all day, it also gives you a way to strengthen sensitivity or lower sensitivity if it’s not recording your sleep properly. I think it’s a great app. You have a choice of using it is a free member, which I do, or is a paid app person. There are extra things you can do as a paid person. You can compare you were sleep trends to others, and see more of a sleep goal idea. If you haven’t looked at it, take a look. :-) Joney talk2o...@gmail.com "If God can bring you to it, He will lead you through it." > On Feb 16, 2019, at 10:45 PM, Jennie Facer wrote: > > Yes you do need to be wearing the watch and it has to be on while wearing it. > > Jenn > > Jenn and Kumi > >> On Feb 16, 2019, at 2:25 PM, Anthony Vece wrote: >> >> Do you need to wear the watch when you’re using the app? >> >> Sent from my Verizon iPhone 10R!!! >> >>> On Feb 16, 2019, at 3:41 PM, Jennie Facer wrote: >>> >>> I will add that i love this app and I use it nightly. Re: Accessible sleep tracker for the Apple Watch.
I use Sleep Watch and love it. I don't wear my watch every night. I do love how it integrates with the Health app. You can set it to ask you each day how well you slept. I turned that off though since I often forgot to go in the app and answer the question. I do have it set to give me a daily summary of my sleep and average heart rate via notification. There is also the app called Pillow, I believe it costs a few bucks if you want full functionality. It is largely Voiceover accessible, this is a reply I received recently when I send them an email: Hello, Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, certain Pillow's features and screens are not currently accessible via Voiceover, but we are already working on making the app completely compatible with Voiceover. Re: Accessible sleep tracker for the Apple Watch.
Over the past few days, I have tried 4 sleep tracker apps. Auto sleep, sleep watch, sleep plus plus and pillow. On a few nights, I had all 4 apps running simultaenously! I think I have done an in-depth review of all of them and find that the most accurate one is actually Auto Sleep! Unfortunately this app is also the least accessible and voice-over unfriendly. However I discovered it saving grace-Siri shortcuts! It has five amazing Siri shortcuts which can help get over the accessibility hitch. Auto sleep voice commands one. Time asleep 2.today’s readiness 3. Latest bedtime 4. Sleep ring 5. Going to sleep So just asking Siri can do a lot of work for you on this app! Also I found this is the only app which has heart rate variability also. For this you have to do a one minute briefing session every morning when you wake up. As an added bonus, this event is very relaxing! I have written to the app developers to make this more VoiceOver friendly. If any other people are interested in this app, I request them to also write to the developer to make it more accessible! 👼Sleep well! It is largely Voiceover accessible, this is a reply I received recently when I send them an email: Hello, Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, certain Pillow's features and screens are not currently accessible via Voiceover, but we are already working on making the app completely compatible with Voiceover. We'll definitely keep you posted on that. Best Regards, Spyros Passas Neybox Digital Helpful? Click to give Neybox thanks! :-) Joney talk2o...@gmail.com "If God can bring you to it, He will lead you through it." Heart rate variability is also another important component of staying healthy. All this is given by sleep tracking software’s and applications. Unfortunately Apple has not used to have one of its own and therefore we have to look at other Wenders. I have tried three or four applications and none of them is VoiceOver friendly. Does anyo
