Re: An iPhone/Braille Device writing issue

2020-12-13 Thread Richard Turner
You might check the following setting under VoiceOver Braille and experiment
with the setting to see if it helps. Ignore Chord Duration 0.5s
The amount of time required before subsequent key presses will be recognized as
braille chords.

2020-12-13 Thread Duane Steele
Thanks for the tip about the bounce command. I never have known what that
meant. It's in the braille setting. I notice when writing or editing in ASCII
braille, there's no problem at all. I reckon I can live with it.

Hi,

Unfortunately, this is a known problem. Sometimes there is just a lag. There is
a setting that you can change for the bounce rate I believe it is. it chaanges
how long it takes for the command to hit the phone, but I can't remember where
it is. Sorry I'm not much help.

An iPhone/Braille Device writing issue

2020-12-13 Thread Duane Steele
Hello iPhone listers,

Sometimes when I'm writing a message or any text with my braille device using
contracted braille, the cursor seems to lag behind and things get garbled up
till I go through the text and edit the document. This seems to be a rather
recent problem and I'm wondering what may have changed, or what I need to
change in the braille settings. I'm using a BrailleEdge 40 with an iPhone 8.
Thanks for any suggested solutions.

Peace & Blessings,
