Annoying behavior in Mail
I have annoying behavior happening in Mail. When I have a long thread of mail messages, say 20-30 or more as happens on a couple email lists, I sometimes cannot advance using the message setting in the rotor without being jumped somewhere back in thr thread. Sometimes I can get back to where I was, but other times I can’t without being bounced again. There are times when Mail acts as if I have reached the last message even though there are more in the thread. Is there any way to combat this such as giving a command to go to X number message quickly. Any other suggestions would be helpful. Re: Annoying behavior in Mail
I’ve also seen this, and in my experience there doesn’t have to be as many as twenty messages in the thread for it to happen. Unfortunately I don’t know a way around it. Ive sometimes found that closing mail and reopening it will work, but more often than not it won’t. Re: Annoying behavior in Mail
think that’s why I stopped reading threads that way. I have another way that is annoying, but reliable. When I am in the list of messages, I expand the thread by flicking down with one fingeruntil VoiceOver says expand thread then double-tap. Then I keep flicking to the right until I get to the first message in the thread. I open the message and read it. Then I hit the back button to get out of the message. If I want to read any of the other messages, I flick until I find one I want to read and open it. Yes, that’s tedious, but that’s the only reliable way I know how to read threads with VoiceOver. Re: Annoying behavior in Mail
Thanks Ryan! You taught me something I didn’t know. I will use this technique because, just like others, I’ve gotten really weary of the messages jumping when trying to use the rotr setting Dan Sent from my iPhone > On Apr 17, 2022, at 3:21 PM, Ryan Mann wrote: > > think that’s why I stopped reading threads that way.
