Answering phone calls on my Mac with Yosemite and IOS 8.1

2014-11-12 Thread Kevin Gibbs
Hi guys,
I wonder if I could ask yet another question? This question concerns the
ability to answer phone calls at Won's Mac that come in on one's iPhone.

I have been testing this ability by using my house telephone to call my iPhone.
Ocasionally, I will see face time, on my Mac screen. However, even when that
happens, I can't figure out how I could answer the phone call on my Mac.
Further, I hear my iPhone ringing. But I don't hear any sound coming from my
mac the tells me that a phone call is coming in.

My question is this. Is there some setting that I need to enable on my mac that
allows the Mac to make a sound when a phone call is coming in? Also, is there
some setting that I need to enable that more reliably makes sure that the
computer knows that a phone call is coming in in time for me to answer it?

As with my previous question about how to select in the rotor, I wonder if
people would be so kind as to answer me directly by email. I simply don't have
my email settings for this group set up for me to receive individual emails or
even digests for the traffic on this list because I visit you all so
infrequently. So, if anyone knows the answer to this question, I would be ever
so grateful if you would share the answer both with the list, and with me
directly by email at:
kevj...@gmail.com.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best,
Kevin

Hi Kevin, no there is no setting may needs to be changed. The only thing that
needs to happen, is your Mac and iPhone need to be on the same network. And to
answer a phone call on your Mac just used either Vieux or the quick masked keys
of up-and-down era for answer a phone call

Re: Answering phone calls on my Mac with Yosemite and IOS 8.1

2014-11-12 Thread Shawn Krasniuk
Hi Kevin. Did you set up a ringtone on your Mac to let you know when a phone
call comes in. To do this, in FaceTime, go into the preferences and select your
ringtone. As for calls coming in at the same time as your iPhone, I also
experience a delay with that, and I don't know how to fix the problem.
