RE: Apple Music for Windows and WALTRPro, no joy

Richard, I have Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Devices on my laptop and 
recently tried Waltr Pro and in fact I did subscribe for a month just so I 
could quickly get all my dozens of tones back on my phone after setting it up 
as a new device and it all worked fine. After I installed Waltr Pro I was 
prompted to install the Apple Mobile Device driver or drivers and I allowed 
this. I think maybe one thing which may be the issue is the fact you have 
iTunes on your computer as well as you installed Apple Music, I don't think 
those two can live together without a fight even though they are both Apple 
programs. I even seem to remember that when I installed Apple Music I was 
warned that if I wanted to use iTunes I had to uninstalle Apple Music again 
first.

I know WALTRPro has been discussed lately, and I’ve used it since it was in 
beta.
Now, I get a crash report whenever I launch it.
I’m guessing, and it is only a guess, that it may have something to do with the 
fact that iTunes now is not accessing my library; Apple Music is.

I may take a shot at uninstalling Apple Music and see what happens… but not 
immediately.  I sent in the crash report to WALTRPro, so we shall see if they 
respond in any way.

It is a program that allows you to put things like music, zip files, whatever 
you want on your Apple device with less hassle than iTunes, though iTunes needs 
to be installed.

So, I am just guessing here that since iTunes doesn’t see the library the same 
way, neither does WALTRPro.  I got a lifetime subscription when the app was in 
beta.  A year or so later, they turned it into a subscription to gain access to 
all their software, though I think they offer a one time subscription for life 
for something like $300 which frankly isn’t worth it in my opinion.  I 
personally don’t think the subscription is worth it, though someone on this or 
the BlindApples list has it through the subscription and finds it useful.

 

I mostly use it for zip files of audio books to get them into Voice Dream.  I 
can just go back to using Dropbox for that.  Though it is a bit slower.
