Re: Apple turning off sounds?

2015-02-12 Thread Alex Hall
The only sounds I've found to sometimes vanish are the two tones that signify
an alert, as you described, and some sounds when swiping right or left with one
finger. I find that restarting VoiceOver puts things back to normal. I believe
this is a bug, not a random muting or anything, since it only affects certain
sounds and is only sometimes present.

Re: Apple turning off sounds?

No, I don't have sounds in rotor. However, I do have speech so I know what you
are saying about accidentally changing settings in the rotor. As I said, this
does not cause a problem, at least not one I have found, so it is an
observation only. (smiles)

Has anyone run into this? Sometimes when I hit reply on an email I will hear no
tone where reply, reply all and print, etc. are shown. Everything seems to work
so not worried. However, can Apple turn off sounds? I am not muting, and I have
had this happen outside of mail on occasion also. It can also be off half the
day and when I unlock the phone later all is back to normal. Very.
