RE: Boarding Pass/Passbook
Hi Scott, If both of you have an iPhone and each can have your boarding pass I think that is much more efficient. If both of your boarding passes are on your phone, you have to hand it over so the agent can scan your boarding pass, then he/she would have to give the phone back to you, you have to unlock and get the other boarding pass to display, hand it back so they scan it. Why not just each have the boarding pass on your phone? Hi Keith, Yes, I've saved messages concerning everyone's boarding pass in our family, and it's worked out fine. RE: Boarding Pass/Passbook
Is there a way to use this if several people are travelling together? I'm thinking of a situation when I'm travelling with my minor daughter. Would she have to have the app with her boarding pass on her phone, or can boarding passes of families travelling together be on the same phone? I doubt it, but thought I'd ask. Re: Boarding Pass/Passbook
Besides ensuring that the curtain is off, make sure the brightness setting is not way down, or they may not be able to see the boarding pass. That happened to me once. Re: Boarding Pass/Passbook
Hello Eric. Southwest is a wonderful airline except for their app. The app doesn't use the passbook or the lock screen. You can retrieve your pass in the app, get it in a text message or get it in a photo. I wish that Southwest would make its app work like the American Airlines app. > On May 8, 2015, at 9:03 PM, SSEric wrote: > > I just signed up for the Southwest app. I entered my name, address, > birthday, etc., everything but a confirmation number for an upcoming flight, > and it automatically showed me as scheduled for that flight. > > My question is how do I use this to get through the airport. Re: Boarding Pass/Passbook
After you check in your boarding pass is on your phone. What I did was open the app where my boarding pass was then lock the phone so that when I unlocked the pass would come up right away. The TSA agent will scan the barcode right off the phone. Just make sure you don't have your screen curtain on when you hand over your phone. Boarding Pass/Passbook
I just signed up for the Southwest app. I entered my name, address, birthday, etc., everything but a confirmation number for an upcoming flight, and it automatically showed me as scheduled for that flight. My question is how do I use this to get through the airport. I am assuming nothing happens until 24 hours before flight time when I check in on line. I have heard it said your boarding pass will show on the lock screen. Does it show after checking in? Do I just hit the power key to show the boarding pass or do I also have to tap Unlock. Or do I have to unlock the phone and open either the Southwest app or Passbook. I would guess it works the same no matter the airline. Thanks for clarifying how this works.
