RE: Boarding Pass/Passbook

2015-05-13 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Scott,

If both of you have an iPhone and each can have your boarding pass I think that
is much more efficient. If both of your boarding passes are on your phone, you
have to hand it over so the agent can scan your boarding pass, then he/she
would have to give the phone back to you, you have to unlock and get the other
boarding pass to display, hand it back so they scan it. Why not just each have
the boarding pass on your phone?

Regards,
Sieghard

I was going to ask the same question since my wife and I are traveling together
in July. I was hoping I wouldn't have to have two boarding passes for united
airlines on two different phones. If I can get away with having just on one
phone, I would rather do that.

After you check in your boarding pass is on your phone. What I did was open
the app where my boarding pass was then lock the phone so that when I
unlocked the pass would come up right away. The TSA agent will scan the
barcode right off the phone. Just make sure you don't have your screen
curtain on when you hand over your phone.

I would guess it works the same no matter the airline.

Re: Boarding Pass/Passbook

2015-05-09 Thread Paul Hunt
Hello Eric. Southwest is a wonderful airline except for their app. The app
doesn't use the passbook or the lock screen. You can retrieve your pass in the
app, get it in a text message or get it in a photo. I wish that Southwest would
make its app work like the American Airlines app.
