Braille keystrokes for modifier keys like the command key

2020-09-24 Thread Richard Turner
I started a new thread rather than continue the one about the broken command
since it isn't broken in iOS 14 release version.

Braille Key equivelants for doing keyboard commands just like on a QWERTY
keyboard;

Dot 1+7+spacebar, Command key
Dot 2+7 +spacebar, Options key
Dot 3+7+spacebar, Control key
Dot 4+7+spacebar, Shift key
Dot 5+7+spacebar, FN key

To toggle any of the above keys on, use dot 8 instead of dot 7. Note, you will
need to repeat the combination with dot 8 when you want to toggle off the key.

Command+Shift+d, Send, mail
Command+R, Reply
Command+n, new Email, Text message, calendar event, or note
Control+Options+l, Read current line
Control+Options+w, Read current word
Control+Options+c, Read current character

All of these are included in my list of braille keyboard commands on my web
site: www.turner42.com

2020-09-24 Thread Kimberly
Thanks, Richard. This is very handy to know. I haven't fully taken advantage of
my braille display until recently and these key combinations will be really
useful.

Kim
