Have him to confirm that all of his approperate calendars have been selected
within the Native Calendar app. The tab for this is at the bottom, second from
the left.

Also have him go into Settings and swipe down to Mail, Contacts & Calendars.
Make sure that the settings weren't changed here with the update. The calendar
settings are near the bottom.

When I updated from 7.1 to 7.1.1 my calendar settings got changed.

Also, have him double-tap the calendars button on the bottom of the screen to
make sure his calendars are checked. If not, no appointments will be visible.

2014-05-08 Thread Kimber Gardner
If he backed up his iPhone before the upgrade, the data should be
available either in the cloud or on his computer. Still, it's
perplexing that he lost his calendar entires. I've never lost anything
when doing an iOS upgrade.

Find out from him what steps he took when doing the upgrade.

Calendar Items Got Lost In Upgrade From iOS 5 to 6

2014-05-07 Thread Edward Przybylek
Hi all,

An individual at the Association for the Blind where I volunteer asked me
for some help with his iPhone. He says he lost all his calendar entries
when he upgraded his iPhone from iOS 5 to iOS 6. He's since upgraded to iOS
7 but is still unable to find his calendar entries. I don't use the native
calendar app and I don't know much at all about the app. I told him I would
write to this list and see if I could get some help with his problem. If
anyone has any ideas about where I might start digging for a solution, I
would greatly appreciate the help. If this is a lost cause then I'd like to
hear that too so I'm not spending a lot of time spinning my wheels. Thank
you.

Take care,
Ed Przybylek
