Hello Cliff,

You are absolutely correct. The number of iCloud aliases, one can create, is
3, not 5.

I apologize for my error and any confusion it may have caused.

RE: Clarification re Can't Change iCloud Email Address

2017-10-08 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Christine,

I'm curious, were you able to resolve this issue?

After re-reading your post, it occurred to me that what you may be referring to
are iCloud email aliases, of which you are allowed up to 5.

To create email aliases you must, in your preferred web browser, go to:

http://appleid.apple.com

Once signed in, you will locate an area that will allow you to create up to 5
email aliases, any of which you can change/use at any time.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

Mark

if it’s iCloud you can’t change it. If you were using gmail, hotmail, yahoo,
ECT you would be able to change it, you cannot change an appleID that uses the
iCloud domain.

Can't change icloud email address

2017-10-03 Thread Christine Grassman
Hello all:
When I first set up my icloud email, I was able to use a different name than
the one on my gmail account. My husband, however, is only receiving the option
to use the same name followed by icloud.com The edit box
is dimmed, and there is no way to edit the offered address. How can he change
the name before the @ sign? Thank you.
Christine
P.S. I was not able to find anything about this on Apple’s web site.
