Re: Can I type in brailleon my SE 2020?

2020-05-21 Thread Anna Dresner
Hi James,

Yes, you can type braille on your iPhone screen. In voiceOVer Settings, choose
Rotor, and turn on Braille Screen Input. To type in braille, turn the rotor to
this option after activating an edit field. You can also use it on the home
screen to type the first few letters of an app's name to find and open it. The
commands for braille Screen Input are in the VoiceOVer section of the user
guide, but the main ones are:
Flick right with one finger to type a space.
Flick right with two fingers to type Enter or select an app on the home screen.
Flick left or right with three fingers to change the grade of braille.
Flick left with one finger for Backspace.
Flick left with two fingers to delete the most recently typed word.

Also, you can type in either Tabletop or Screen Away mode. Tabletop arranges
the lots like the keys on a Perkins brailler. In Screen away mode, you hold the
phone between your palms in Landscape mode with the screen facing away from
you. Your index fingers type dots 1 and 4, your middle fingers type dots 2 and
5, and your ring fingers type dots 3 and 6.

That should get you started. I recommend reading the whole section in the user
guide, which is available free in the Apple Books store.

Best,
Anna

Can I type in brailleon my SE 2020?

2020-05-21 Thread bentleyj1952
Hi all,

I found where to use a bluetooth braille display in VO but, can I imput
braille directly on to the glass screen?

If so, where do I find the setting.
