Re: Choosing betweeen Apple Watch 7 and SE 2

2022-10-07 Thread Mary Otten
I have the original SE, which has the same processor as the five I think. Or
maybe it’s the six. I can’t remember. Anyway, I have the cellular model which I
find very convenient, because I don’t always have my phone. To me it was worth
it. I didn’t care that much about blood oxygen, which the original SE does not
have. And while I wanted the heart afib thing, it wasn’t worth it for me to
spend the extra. I am waiting for more health sensors before I spring for a
really expensive one. If they ever get blood sugar tracking, I’m there.

Re: Choosing betweeen Apple Watch 7 and SE 2

2022-10-07 Thread Michael Irons
Hello everyone, I basically do take my phone pretty much everywhere I go. I do
end up going outside occasionally without my phone. There is a time when I go
in row with the rowing team but I am out on the water in my phone is not
listening because I don’t want my phone to go in the water and get messed up.
My phone might be with me but it’s either locked up in someone’s car or I have
it inside the place where I go rowing. My guess is the watch probably wouldn’t
work if I wore it out on the water.

Hi,
Fall detection was introduced with Apple Watch Series 4. As with everything
technology, I would recommend to purchased the latest that you can afford. This
is especially true with Apple since devices lose OS support every four years

RE: Choosing betweeen Apple Watch 7 and SE 2

2022-10-07 Thread Kevin Minor
Hi.

If you're someone who has your iPhone on you wherever you go, or you're always
in Bluetooth range of your iPhone, you probably don't need the cell feature of
an Apple Watch. Even if you have the cell feature on your watch, as long as
your iPhone is in range, the watch defaults to using your phone to do
everything. Just know that you might be amazed where you'll be at home, such as
going outside without your phone, and the watch won't be in range of the phone.
The Watch will still give the time, but anything internet related won't work,
and that's a lot of things.

Like all Apple devices, they are all equally accessible with VoiceOver.

So, just focus on the features you want and which watch has those.

Re: Choosing betweeen Apple Watch 7 and SE 2

2022-10-07 Thread Julian
The only way I would ever consider buying a cellular version of a watch is when
Apple makes it a truly standalone device. This would mean that a phone is in no
way shape or form required to set it up and manage.

RE: Choosing betweeen Apple Watch 7 and SE 2

2022-10-07 Thread Richard Turner
Hi,
45 MM is 1.77 inches.
41 MM is 1.61 inches.

If you have any kind of a braille watch, you may want to compare sizes to
figure out what would work best for you.

As for which watch, I don't have an opinion. I have the series 6 from 2 years
ago and it is excellent. I did not opt for the cellular model because I pretty
much always have my phone handy.
If I replace this watch, I will probably opt for the cellular model, but that
will only be if this watch dies completely.

HTH,

Richard, USA.

Hello,

I’ve finally decided that an Apple watch would be a good thing for me (with
celluar service)

So far I haven’t had any issues buying refurbished Apple products so I’ll do
that with the watch as well.

I’ve narrowed it down to a series 7 or SE2. We’re moving to Mexico and it
looks like there are a couple cell companies there who support the apple Watch
cellular. I’m trying to think of all the ins and outs I can but this list is
good at coming up with things I haven’t thought of.

Also, I have a choice between a 45 mm and 41 mm face. My fingers are an
average size woman’s hand. I think I’d prefer the smaller size, would I regret
that?

As always,
Thanks,
