What is this app, exactly? It sounds like a color identification app, but I
don’t want to be too off base with my assumptions, as we all know what
assuming does. Lol. J

Re: ColorVisor version 1.1 available

2012-06-13 Thread Sieghard
 Hi Daniel,

The developer included both the iTunes link and a link to his own website,
I mean no offense, but how much easier can one make it? Wouldn’t you think
you get a more complete answer to what this app can do by reading the
iTunes description and/or reading about it on the developer’s website? It
also says right in the footer/signature of the developer's post:

ColorVisor - The app to identify colors.
Available on the App Store:
*http://itunes.com/app/ColorVisor* <http://itunes.com/app/ColorVisor>
---

Just in case you missed the information, here are the links again:

You will find the ColorVisor on the App Store at:
*http://itunes.com/app/ColorVisor* <http://itunes.com/app/ColorVisor>

More information about the app can be found on my web site at:
*http://visorApps.com/ColorVisor/* <http://visorapps.com/ColorVisor/>

Regards,

Sieghard

Re: ColorVisor version 1.1 available

2012-06-13 Thread Richard Turner
I cannot get anything close to consistent results.
I have gray slacks on.
It reports them as pale yellow, brown, purplish-blue, etc.
I have Navy Blue socks, it thought they were either olive green, purple, yellow
or brown.
It seems to be speaking somewhat random colors. This is in a well lighted room
with the camera about 4 to 6 inches from the object.

2012-06-14 Thread Gabriele Battaglia (Kriyaban)

Ciao Jan, ciao to all members.

Dear Jan, I had an idea that couldn't be probably easy to implement but, as I'm unfortunately not a developer, I wish to give to you
to be evalued.

I'd like to have an help when exploring colours in a saved image. Could you allow the app to let me feel the edges of the images
playing sounds?

In other words, I'd like the saved image to explore has a sonifyed frame.
Thanks.
Gabriele.

I followed the directions and got no reliable information at all. The phone
would continually announce different colors when I was holding it still over a

In all fairness, the developer of this app should add the very least refund the
money to any dissatisfied user. This is very important. Best regards,

2012-06-15 Thread Jan Blüher
Hallo list,

I'm sorry that some of you are that unhappy with the app. You spend some money
for it and didn't get what you expected, which is indeed a reason to be
disappointed. The only thing that could solve the problem would be an update. I
promise to do it in the near future.

Since some of the experiences I read about are that bad and in quite a big
contrast to others, it might be a good idea of someone of you join my group of
beta testers. Then there is the chance to solve the problems. Please write to
me off list in this case.

Have a nice weekend

Greetings

2012-06-15 Thread Gabriele Battaglia (Kriyaban)
Sorry, the following is just my opinion. I'm not getting money from Jan or other people related to him, have nothing to gain from
Colovisor app and or its staff.

I believe that Jan is doing something important for us trying to give us an helpful tool. Moreover, he is here, to answer all our
critics, dubts and messages, both good and bad... and I think it's very rare among developers.

He tries to gather all the suggestions and he promessed to keep them in mind
for further releases.
He is blind and develops applications... an activity very interesting that
might be efford for all of us.

My opinion is that... we should be more fairer with him.
Gabriele.

Re: ColorVisor version 1.1 available

2012-06-15 Thread Annie Skov Nielsen
Hello Jan.

It is not as bad as the other color app I have bought. I had some good
experiences with it yesterday or the day before. Could there be a problem with
light or no light. I bought a color detector from a wellknown english firm
about a month ago, and it was a really disappointing experience, I found out
that it only worked in daylight.

Best regards Annie.

2012-06-15 Thread Bill

Hello all,
I have tried the other color id apps and have not gotten satisfying results.
It is my opinion that the only way that accuracy will be achieved is if
there is an infrared emitter that runs through the camera lense and the
camera is placed against the object. Bill
