Re: Create a spreadsheet on your iPhone!

Numbers was mentioned here. Does anyone know of a podcast for using
Numbers?

If we can't look at ourselves, and ask, why? then where does the learning
start?

Looking for a spreadsheet to create, edit and format on your iPhone? I tried
a number of spreadsheets including Numbers from Apple. But none of them were
fully workable. I finally found one! This one works perfectly! I could
create, edit, format, enter formulas, enter text, reference other
spreadsheets, and even formats the text! Besides, I had the added benefit of
being able to collaborate with others on the spreadsheet! Ironically, the
spreadsheet is from Google!! Try it you will you love it! Cheers!

Create a spreadsheet on your iPhone! - Google Sheets

2014-06-30 Thread Joseph FreeTech
Wow, looks like I wasted my $10 on the Numbers app--I should have waited for
your message. Smile.

In all seriousness, I took this Google Sheets for a test drive and found it
incredibly accessible, but it has some annoying quirks.

List of quirks:
1. I don't like the ribbon of command buttons at the bottom part of the
screen.
2. As I try to add a row or column by swiping to respective button, I for
whatever reason end up losing focus and thrown to different part of the
screen.
3. On that Note, I was able to add rows, but I could not get this thing to
add columns.
4. When one swipes to and from a cell within the spreadsheet, all the
possible font options are spoken, which makes moving from cell to cell very,
very wordy. I'd like it to only give me coordinates and not all the
information about the cell. Smile.
5. I don't like that one can not add Excel spreadsheets into the app via
iTunes.

I will add that entering and or editing data is very, very easy to do,
unlike the Numbers app.

Iam also very happy to convey that one can use iOS handwriting to enter
data; this cannot be done with the iOS Numbers app. The benefit of using the
iOS handwriting feature is that one won't have to switch to the numbers
interface when entering numerical data as one can simply write the numbers.

Until I experiment for a bit more than a couple of hours, I think I'll stick
with Numbers for now, but thanks for the heads up as we now have yet another
accessible option in Google Sheets.

Big thanks!

Joseph the free tech guy!

Create a spreadsheet on your iPhone! - Google Sheets

2014-06-30 Thread AppleGourmet
Hi! As with any application, some practice would make you better! Before
I found this application, I could do everything with my iPhone except
spreadsheets and the laundry. Now, thanks to Google, I'm just looking for an
app to do my laundry.
I love working on spreadsheets on the go. I was seriously considering buying
the Microsoft surface Pro3 with Windows 8.1 and install Jaws to do my
spreadsheets! Now thanks to Google, I don't need to buy that! Also it feels
good to know that the iPhone does it all!! Take really good care of yourself!
